Update on my sanity after finishing the book:
-Carwin is, indeed, not that much of a motherfucker
     -he’s like a level 2 motherfucker and I previously thought he was like level 19 (out of 10) motherfucker
-This book is upsetting
-There was a really contrived romantic misunderstanding and when they explain how it happened it is a significantly more contrived misunderstanding.
-Lesson of the book: if ur family has a history of insanity maybe tell someone and don’t get too into the bible like things could go very wrong.
-actually tbh i’m still not totally sure what the title character’s motives were like i think he was hearing voices (like hallucinations) but they’re kinda vague about it???
