Everyone needs to watch Upload on Prime Video!
It's sooo good. It's got everything from romance to sinister murder plots to hilarious side characters to cool future tech to just about everything to make a show great. Robbie Ammell and Andy Allo have the best chemistry! If you're a fan of The Good Place, I suggest you check this show out. It's got a similar vibe going.
I’ll never give amazon any of my money, I enjoyed upload enough for me to want to talk about it. (Worth the 🏴☠️) It’s interesting a more soft and less harsh focus on its capitalist nightmare universe. Like what I mean by that unlike blackmirrors use of capitalism at its worst it’s more focused on its characters rather than it implications as a universe, not to say that the world the characters live in doesn’t affect them.
Upload is pretty anti capitalist for a amazon original, but I feel like due to it being such some or the pointier edges were sanded down a little. Its primarily a character drama, it’s not groundbreaking by any regards, I think it’s more Interesting to see a romance focus in this sort of capitalist hell cyberpunk universe. But its okay, I’ve been running out of things to watch so this was something interesting to fill In time.
