I am ashamed of my country. I am ashamed of my government, the police and these hateful counter protesters, all of whom have grown up/live in the same country and speak the same language as I do.

This is about an hour drive away from me, I want to help them so bad but I do not have the resources nor anyone to go with for safety.

So I will do whatever I can online, and in my closest circle.

We will never give up.

Hi guys!

For my first post on here I just wanted to share a bit more about myself. I am a 21 year old student in the Netherlands. I moved out from my parent’s house when I started uni like most students do. Unlike most students, I have the luxury of my very own kitchen (I still have to share the bathroom and shower with my roomies tho) which I absolutely love. My kitchen has played a big part in many potlucks, dinner parties and birthdays with friends.

Ever since I was a little girl I loved food and everything that has to do with it. Both my parents are excellent cooks and were never afraid to use an abundance of spices due to their Surinamese heritage. I learned my basic cooking skills from them. Baking, however, really was my first passion. Cooking was something that grew on me and a skill I developed even more once I moved out.

On this page I would like to share my favourite recipes and tips and tricks when it comes to food and lifestyle while on a student budget!
