The daughter and sole heiress of Henry FitzAlan, 12th Earl of Arundel, she married Thomas Howard, 4th Duke of Norfolk. She died as a teenager shortly after the birth of her son, the Saint Catholic Philip Howard, 13th Earl of Arundel, who lived to unite the FitzAlans and Howards into one dynasty, with Arundel Castle as its seat.

Undersleeves! We have a couple of bell & pagoda sleeve dresses at work, but no accompanying undersleeves! So this is me donating my time, energy, and materials to the site, as per usual 😘 Because I don’t know the wrist measurements of future interpreters, I gave these fake buttons and two sets of eyes to each hook, in hopes that they’ll fit most wrists. I also put elastic in the tops instead of drawstrings for the same reason - it would be different if it were just me or one other person using these, but they’re (hopefully) going to be used for many years and by many people, and elastic is a much more practical choice here. Even if the elastic was obvious (it isn’t) nobody will see the tops anyway, since they’ll be hidden under the dress sleeves. You really have to negotiate accuracy and practicality for stuff like this. Undersleeves, 1700-1943, USA.

Karena seringnya saya menonton dan membaca sejumlah cerita yang berkaitan dengan jaman Inggris abad ke-18 atau istilah populernya adalah jaman Victoria, saya jadi tertarik dengan pakaian-pakaian bangsawan kala itu yang sangat rumit dan mewah, terutama gaun-gaun wanita-wanitanya :D Setelah membaca banyak artikel dan menonton beberapa video yang berkaitan dengan rekonstruksi pakaian jaman Victoria, akhirnya saya tahu banyak istilah-istilah rumit yang bahkan baru saya dengar sekarang! Untuk sedikit merapihkan segala informasi yang baru masuk di kepala saya, saya tulis sedikit tentang urutan berpakaian seorang lady di pagi hari. Enjoy! :) Seorang lady dari jaman Victoria yang sering kita lihat memakai gaun-gaun yang mewah dengan rok yang mengembang seperti lonceng ternyata melakukan ritual pagi yang sangat ribet! Inilah yang mereka pakai mulai dari yang paling dalam hingga paling luar.
