Undersleeves! We have a couple of bell & pagoda sleeve dresses at work, but no accompanying undersleeves! So this is me donating my time, energy, and materials to the site, as per usual đ Because I donât know the wrist measurements of future interpreters, I gave these fake buttons and two sets of eyes to each hook, in hopes that theyâll fit most wrists. I also put elastic in the tops instead of drawstrings for the same reason - it would be different if it were just me or one other person using these, but theyâre (hopefully) going to be used for many years and by many people, and elastic is a much more practical choice here. Even if the elastic was obvious (it isnât) nobody will see the tops anyway, since theyâll be hidden under the dress sleeves. You really have to negotiate accuracy and practicality for stuff like this. Now, on to collars, cuffs, and bustle pads.... #undersleeves #1850s #1860s #civilwarcostuming #undergarments #historiccostume #handmade #sewing #victorian https://www.instagram.com/p/BxnF4HdDITc/?igshid=1k971kk0ehaj9
