I'm looking for help with any opportunities available- whether helping you or someone you know with online work or something directly in my neighborhood.

For these past 2yrs, I've been looking for a job & haven't had any luck since being a seasonal working at Edible Arrangements. I've only been able to find creative things to do like: content creation, podcasting, self publishing, streaming{thing like that}. These things take time & haven't had any luck with them becoming multiple streams of outcome because it would definitely help.

I keep hearing "stop begging", "you're able bodied", "so & so are always hiring"- I know that but I don't have a car to go anywhere nor any money to use uber to get to & from. I'm not begging when I'm literally, genuinely looking for help, seeking help.

I'm in the Fairway Dr. East neighborhood of Liverpool, NY & looking for anything that could possible help me & my pet survive day to day basis.

Things I can do & some skills I have{to name a few}:

-type things up

-babysit

-schedule things out for you

-light cleaning

-tech savvy

-customer service

-answer/make calls for you

-plan things out

-be an assistant

Fingers flying over the keys of an Electromatic typewriter in a typing class

I have kind of an unusual ask to put out there for my fellow P/C shippers

I have shipped PC for 30 years, (I’m 39) but I have never written fic for them. I just now am getting up enough courage to try, but I have a bit of a hurdle. I want to do the best job possible, but I have a physical disability that makes physically typing, and even more hand writing, a slow process. It probably takes me twice as long for me to type a page of writing ( or something like this post I’m currently typing myself ) due to motor coordination speed issues, as if would for one of you .

And I want to put so much emotional detail, family interaction and hurt comfort into this fic that my ideas are getting way ahead of my typing speed. I only have one page typed but have so much crafted in my head that it’s frustrating not to be able to get it out quickly. I have typed fic for myself before but it is usually short, for the longer stuff, I usually dictated to friends. But I don’t have a lot of friends who have typed for me before, that also like P/C, and the ones that both have and do, are busy right now.

Is there anyone out there in P/C land who would be willing to type this story for me, either live over zoom or FaceTime or by transcribing voice notes that I send them?

For those wondering: Doing dictation to Siri etc, would be an option, except that it doesn’t work out that great as I have a bit of a speech impediment so a human typist would be best

You could also feel free to discuss content and characterization with me if you wish as I do not have a P/C beta yet. You would be credited in my author’s note as typist ( and beta if you took on that role)

(I cannot afford to pay anyone for their time but would be willing to self type a short fic with a premise of their choosing in return for this help or write a longer one with that same premise if they wanted to transcribe it again.)

That all sounds like it might be okay, you say, but what is the premise of what I’m being asked to type here?

The premise of the fic at its core, is a childbirth scenario so if you that is not your cup of tea I do not want to make you sit through it. It will have a happy ending, but may be somewhat angsty in places. (The angst will NOT involve the baby’s survival or Beverly’s or Jean Luc’s etc) It will be a one shot , but may be 10-20 + pages of words. It will contain spoilers for both all of TNG and Season 3 of Picard.

Please let me know if you would be interested in doing this by sending me an ask . I will respond to it privately unless it’s requesting more information that might be helpful to anyone who might consider doing this

Below is a longish one shot story I wrote for Janeway/Chakotay a long time ago. It is not childbirth or baby centric but may give you an idea of the writing style you would be transcribing.
