How they react when they say they love you and you say "Prove it"

A/n: got into a car accident on my birthday trip, 1/10 do not recommend, but since i have a couple days to chill now i can finish this lol

You two were chilling on your bed, you and Ace, along with Deuce and Grim, were going to have a sleepover tonight. Deuce offered to go buy snacks and he insisted that Grim come with him. You were scrolling on your phone when Ace let out a slow steady sigh as he sat up
"...Yuu, there's something I need to tell you" His voice was uncharacteristically soft. You sat up, crossing your legs and looked at him patiently. He ran a hand through his hair nervously, resting it at the nape of his neck before he spoke.
"I... I love you." His gaze was glued on the blanket beneath him, doing his best and failing to hide how terrified he was. You could see right through his terrible act, but you let the tension grow for just a few more satisfying moments.
"Okay..." Ace turned to look at you, eyes filled with frustration at your lack of reaction, "Prove it." You rested your head in your hand as you watched his expression shift from frustrated to shocked to pissed.
"I said..." You leaned in closer, "Prove. It." Your face was mere inches from his. Ace's eyes kept flickering between your mischievous eyes and soft lips that were curled into a teasing grin. A smile crept onto his face, finally understanding. Not a moment longer he grabbed you by the caller of your shirt and smashed his lips onto yours.
After the sore start both of you melted into it for a long moment you both wanted to last before begrudgingly pulling away for air.
"Is that enough proof for ya?" Ace said with a smirk, his eyes never moving from your lips.
"...Not quite..." You ran your hands up to his hair and pulled him into you for another kiss.
It was so painfully obvious how nervous he was. He just kept switching from tapping his leg, to rubbing his clearly clammy hand on his pants, probably trying to dry them, and never meeting your eye's or even looking at you. Deuce had been like this all day, and boy was it getting annoying, every time you'd talk to him, he'd get all stuttery and run away. Eventually he left a note on your desk to meet him in the botanical gardens during lunch, you know he left it because you saw him trying to sneak it on your book.
When you got there, you saw Deuce pacing around and seemed to be mumbling to himself, but you couldn't make it out.
"Deuce?" He wiped around, eyes wide like he was looking at an overblot.
"WA- WHaT aRE YOu DOin- wait i told you to come here what am I saying?" His voice cracked as he screamed but he quickly straightened up and faced you fully. "Sorry you scared me..." he trailed off, looking at the floor
"Why'd you ask to meet me here?" Tilting your head to the side you got straight to the point
Deuce flinches a bit, seemingly remembering what his point was, "Oh right! Hehe.. well thank you for coming first off" He cleared his throat, "I just... I needed to tell you that" he took a deep breath before meeting your eyes for the first time that day "I- I'm in love with you"
His face was so red he could have blended in with the strawberry patch, but you gave him a moment to breath before finally responding in an almost teasing voice,
"mk... than prove it." You just shrugged your shoulders and waited for his reaction. His eyes went wide as he thought about what you just said. "Okay! I will!" He stated before running right past you.
You went on with the rest of your day, but you didn't see Deuce anywhere, not in his classes, with Ace, nowhere. Till the end of the day when you got a soft knock on your door, opening it you found Deuce standing there out of breath and holds a massive bouquet of your favorite flowers and a bag of all your favorite snacks.
Before you could get a word out he started,
"I love you, Yuu. I've loved you for months, I adore how brave, kind, passionate, and determined you are. You somehow always know how to make my day 10x better! You also-" You cut him off with a sudden but soft kiss that lasted a long moment, pulling away you saw his shocked expression and before he could say anything more you took his hand and pulled him inside.
You and Jack have been in a relationship for almost a month now but nothing too much has changed from when you were just friends other than hanging out more and holding hands. It was coming up on the one month, but you didn't think you guys would do anything special.
At lunch he sat closer than usual, and while everyone was arguing about something or the next, he leaned into you and whispered,
"I love you" it was so quiet you almost couldn't hear it over the commotion of the cafeteria.
After a short shock you giggled and teasingly nudged him saying, "Prove it then." When you looked at him his eyes were wide in shock but after a moment he just nodded and went back to his food.
That night he texted you at 8pm to put on warm comfy clothes and good shoes, you were confused but didn't say no out of curiosity. Not even 10 minutes later Jack was at your door with blankets in hand, a backpack on, the contents of which he refused to tell you and a lantern. Every time you questioned where he was taking you so deep into the forest, he'd just say it was a surprise and not saying anything else about it. But he filled the silence with questions about your day and classes.
"We're here." it was a large clearing with small flowers scattered about the grass; the stars shined bright on every one of them, it almost took your breath away how ethereal and beautiful it was. What caught your eye though was flowers in your favorite color were scattered about, circling the middle of the clearing. Jack walked to the middle and laid the blankets out, once he was done he sat and beckoned you over to sit with him.
Once you did, he began to pull out food from his backpack, at first it was your favorite snacks but than a hot container was sat down with a thermos.
"Oh its [insert fav homecooked meal]" He spoke so casually, you were shocked both that he remembered when you told him how you missed that room from home and that he figured out how to make it with such little information.
When you dug in, it didn't taste anything like the kind from your home, but it was warm and you could taste the love he made it with, plus it wasn't that bad.
"How is it?" His face was expressionless, but you could see the hopeful glint in his eyes.
"It amazing" you weren't lying the thought behind it, behind all of this made it taste better than the original.
As the night went on the stars shined brighter and the two of you watched on your backs, hands interlocked.
"Was this enough proof?"
Looking over at him you couldn't help but be confused but it didn't take long for you to remember your suggestion earlier that day. You laughed once you connected the dots.
"More than enough" you giggled and placed your hand on his cheek to pull him into a kiss. It was soft and gentle, and you both pulled away as slow as you could. "I love you too Jack Howl"
You stood at the entrance of NRC waiting to Epel, he asked you out on a date a few days ago and now here you are all dressed up. He refused to tell you what it was, so you decide to go with something nice but casual. When he finally showed he was carrying a broom?
“What’s that for” was the first thing you said to him.
“Well it would be a pain in the ass to walk into town and back up this late” you raised an eyebrow, it was noon on a Sunday, but you just shrugged and agreed. On the broom you had to hold onto him tight around his torso and you were pretty sure you could see his ears turning a dark red.
When you landed you were in front on was looked like a fair. And before you knew it he was dragging you in. For what felt like hours you played games and road many many rides. At a balloon pop game he won you a small panda plush, the dunk a person game he won you a 3ft long shark, bobbing for apples he got you three otters, a star and purple bunny. You held onto the Lilac bunny while the rest were in a back Epel insisted on carrying.
Last on your day of fun was the ferris wheel. As you pilled in with your winnings and date you enjoyed the view as you rose to the top, then you suddenly felt a soft hand rest on top of yours.
“Yuu, thank you for agreeing to this date.” His eyes looked into yours with a sincerity not often found in students on NRC. “I love you, Yuu”
You knew he ment it, no part of you thought for a moment he wasn’t sure.
“Prove it.” His eyes tired from their soft sincerity to a shocked frustration.
“What do you mean!? We have children!” He yanked the bag full to the brim of plushies in front of the two of you. That was the last response you were expecting but it wasn’t unwelcome if your giggles had anything to do with it. You leaned into him and placed a kiss on his cheeks before resting your head on his shoulder.
“I expect you to win me more next time” you giggled more only half joking.
You and Sebek were never close, you still considered him a friend and appreciated him for protecting you so many times but compared to Grim or Ace and Deuce, he was more of an acquaintance. you were also pretty sure he didn't like you much. But Sebek seemed to be full of suprises.
It was a quiet evening at Ramshackle, Grim got detention alongside Ace and Deuce so you got the whole dorm to yourself with no one to disturb your quiet. You relaxed on the couch, book in hand when three loud almost thunderous knocks came from your front door. When you opened the door you were shocked to find Sebek standing there with a bouquet of flowers in hand, his face was beat red and he wouldn’t look at you.
“HUM- *caugh* human.. there’s is something urgent I must discuss with you” His fists were balled up at his sides, you almost thought he was going to crush those innocent flowers.
“Ok? But what’s with the flowers?” You were quick to get to what you thought was most important.
“Ah- um they are part of it!” He almost sounded reassuring as he brought them up to hold in front of you. “Hm okay… What’s this “urgent matter” ?”
Sebek managed to look you in the eyes but you could tell he was struggling to look at you.
“The thing is…I have a very strange pit inside of me every time I see you, or talk to you or even hear your name. I believed I was sick for a time or that you somehow put a curse on you. However when I spoke with master Lilia he told me what it truly was” He took a deep breath before continuing, “I believe I am in love with you human… And these are for our courting!” He shoved the flowers into your arms but when you took them they were crumpled and looked beaten
“Okay. Prove it” you looked up from the flowers and into his eyes. You didn’t believe him, at least not fully, and considering Lilia had something to do with this you felt it might have been a misunderstanding.
Sebek was bewildered, never did he think that would be your response to his love confession. But he was prepared, Lilia warned him that flowers might not be enough on their own to woo you so he had a back up plan. Before you knew it you were being dragged over to Diasomnia utterly confused out of your mind.
And here you stand in front of Malleus right before the was about to have dinner. Sebek dropped to his knees and placed his head on the floor before screaming,
“MY LORD I MUST AS A GREAT FAVOR OF YOU” Malleus seemed confused but truly unfazed, probably being used to this behavior.
“I WOULD LIKE YOU TO BLESS OUR RELATIONSHIP, MY LORD, I AM IN LOVE WITH YUU AND WOULD LIKE TO COURT THEM” Even though you couldn’t see his face you saw how red the back of his neck was and the sweat almost seemed to pool below him. Malleus looked between the both of you before an almost knowing smile grew on his face,
“of course, stand Sebek.” He seemed to teleport to your side at Malleus’s command. The horned man took both yours and Sebek’s hands and guided the together. No you were holding his hand as Malleus laid his on top.
“I bless the two of you in this courtship, may you hold one another for as long as time will allow” Malleus closed his eyes before taking his hand off and leaving without another word. Looking down you found your hands were left with golden dusts like particles surrounding them.
“Is this enough to prove my love, human?” His eyes bore into yours with hope and determination.
“Yeah I think that’ll do it”
