ft. Anan, Suchol & Mathura redesign, Charin and new oc…?

I changed a lot of Anan’s design and I’m still not satisfied :,) this is what we get for now! I didn’t change anything about Charin except for his eye lashes, and also added his dorm uniform drafts✨

I struggled alot when I was writing Anan’s character. He was too similar to Malleus (and I still think so) but I made him less serious and more playful than Malleus, he just has a very stoic face😞my chud son

A bit of Charin FAQ but he has a part time job as Attidaya’s most dangerous prison guard!

I HATE Suchol’s old design with a PASSION like I’ll just be making anything at that time huh😭😭I made his pallette look less like bright neon ass lights. I changed his eye color to orange to reference his passion for adventures (like a flame?) also a bit of a reference to his god father.

The gold in his hair is actually those gold glittery hair extensions! I want him to give a vibe of some haughty young boyish prince lol. His flower crown(?) is called พวงมาลัย (Puang Malai) and I took inspiration from his original form (the character he’s based on). Jun-Pa also wears a Puang Malai on her wrist if it looks familiar to you guys.

Now here we have papi chulo Mathura and if you noticed I didnt add his old design here because he was so ugly I’m ashamed😞I think I did him justice here heh

He’a not blind, I made his eyes very pale on purpose because I think it’s hot next question.

Andddd here we have a new OC who’s Anan’s brother! He’s an NPC in the twst universe lol but I just wanted to design him for shits and giggles. I tried to make him masculine but also pretty at the same time? I hope it’s working🪷

He’s based on Indrajit from Ramayana or อินทรชิต from the Thai version of the epic (รามเกียรติ์)

Anyway! I hope this has been a fun read for you guys! I tried not to yap too much, so here’s a rough draft of what I was going for Anan. He has some light yellowish-green streaks in his hair, unlike his brother who has pink streaks🪷✨ His hair accessory has two layers as I was trying to reference the character he was based on who has twenty heads. Ignore my bad handwriting here lol😭

Suchol's hair color change is really nice. His before hair is a tad too bright for the eyes, but definitely seems so neon compared to his new hair. I do like his eye color being changed too as I've never been the biggest fan of characters eyes being the same/similar color to their hair.

I like the contrast of Mathura's under hair color to his top hair color. It looks like his young version doesn't have the flame marks around his mouth? I don't remember what exactly the flame marks meant and I'm not sure how to hunt that down in a quick manner.

Okay I checked Anan's introduction post to make sure it wasn't somewhere easy to find so I don't look too foolish if the fire-mark info is actually not buried somewhere... And the line on his post about his last name, pairing it with the second image/drawing here is pretty good.

As for the “flame” marks, I don’t really know what they are, but it’s a feature that many yakshas have in their masks (in theatre plays, I mean)! I’ve never mentioned it before so don’t worry lmao💀ALSO in Mathura’s younger ver. I actually forgot to draw his flame marks too😭😭😭

Here’s a visual presentation of yaksha masks! I’ve noticed that when people draw yaksha characters or ocs, they always add these flame-like marks on the corners of their lips.

From what I understand, the “flame marks” is actually a part of the yakshas’ mouth! I hope this clears up any confusion and thank you for the questions!🩷🩷

I will still continue with my tarot cards but juggling 2 animations (one being 3D god i HATE THAT CLASS) and a bunch more stuff on top of that it's driving me quite insane :[ certified machine over here.
