APPRECIATION POST: I've never known how to love lightly. I've never known how to not care. I've never known being successful. I've never known being whole. I love with every single fucking fiber of my being. I love very loudly. Very intensely. Very strong. Very hard. I care as if I have known you my entire life. I care as if I am a mother. With my whole heart. I rarely make my father proud. I'm not classy. I'm not a proper lady. I man spread when I wear dresses because I forget... Young ladies don't sit like that. I dropped out of school. I quit many jobs. I am a starving artist. I deal with mental disorders. My car has been sitting in my yard for months. My room is a mess. I'm learning to love myself. I'm learning to love being alone. I'm learning to control my thoughts. I'm learning to be whole without feeling like I need someone. I'm learning and growing and blossoming. So, here's to me. Dear Diary, I was having trouble sleeping tonight, so I ran to you like I always do. I had this urge to leave, to just get out. I found myself staring outside my window. The city was silenced by the night and the street lights waiting for chaos. It seemed like the perfect hour to escape but I know mum and dad would be upset if they woke to see that I left without a word. What do I even tell them though? That history repeats itself? That I'm upset tonight because of a boy? No. I have a reputation to maintain. I'm a woman now. And a woman must never let silly boys upset her. I have places to go, people to be, people to meet and people to see. I can hear the mountains calling me, I can hear them in the breeze as it breaks out crying to me. I will run away to a place they will never find me. These God looking dogs.
