Wait, what? Do they not? /gen
An octopus' "tentacles" are actually classified as arms. The clearest difference between arms and tentacles is that tentacles only have suckers on the end while arms have them all over.
A good animal too look at the difference between tentacles and arms next to each other are squids. :D Squids have 8 arms and 2 tentacles
Vio: So you see, squids are evil. I will eat them. I will eat them ALL.

THE NIGHT OF THE CALAMARI
Sundays were game night at the Casa. Every Sunday like clockwork⦠if you could count it as still being Sunday Night when we began out sessions at midnight (technically Monday morning).
Anyway, as my place in the crazed ecosystem of Casa Discordia was βThe Food Supplierβ that did not change when game night happened. Every week, it was my responsibility to take whatever pooled money had been gathered to the grocery store down the street, and find some way to stretch it into enough snacks for the entire group that night.
Food decisions were made based on when the sun came up (which varied in time) and how many people were playing that night (which varied in number). Needless to say it required complex calculations, strategy, and planning. I took my job VERY seriously.
But, sometimes, I was given the night off.
Some nights, Monk REALLY felt like cooking. Other nights, we splurged and ordered food. But one night, something different happened. The Night of The Calamari.
It was just another game night at which Sakka, who was DMing that night, showed up from WHEREVER he was, holding a bag.
A bag with several pounds of RAW SQUID.
Needless to say we were all VERY confused.
And Iβm not gonna lie, I donβt remember what he gave his source or reason for, I was too busy staring at an entire clear plastic bag of raw squid wondering what the FUCK we were supposed to do with THAT.
Luckily, Monk said something very intelligent shortly after.
βWhat the FUCK are we supposed to do with that???β
To which Sakka, in his infinite wisdom, said βI dunno, game night snacks?β
Now Monk would have ideas. Most of them HORRIBLE but sometimes they were clever and that night, his gears started working, and he realized something.
We had a deep-fryer.
And, hidden under the sink, he had stashed a box of PANKO.
And as he remembered this, a broad smile broke out on his face.
βI have an IDEA,β he grinned, and grabbing the bag of squid, threw it in the fridge and got to work.
Itβs a complex process deep-frying squid. Iβm sure of it anyway. I wouldnβt know. We learned long ago that when Monk was in the kitchen, nobody else was.
But sure enough, by the time Midnight rolled around, there were plates on the gaming table with perfectly breaded and fried calamari for ALL of us to enjoy.
Sakka was DMing that night. So that meant it was Star Wars D20.
But that night, the adventures of Frank the Soldier didnβt matter. What mattered was that we all stuffed our faces with several POUNDS OF SQUID.
And when the sun came up, we all went to bed with still-full bellies.
Of squid. Seriously it was SO MUCH SQUID.
Noooooo not a squid I hate those
