Delight in the rich, smoky flavor of Meat Church's Smoked Turkey Breast. This recipe features a savory rub and a basting mixture that enhances the taste, resulting in a juicy and flavorful turkey. Perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients: 1 whole turkey breast about 6-8 lbs. Meat Church Holy Gospel BBQ Rub. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted. 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar. Wood chunks pecan or applewood. Kosher salt. Black pepper.
Instructions: Preheat your smoker to 250F using pecan or applewood chunks for smoke flavor. Remove the turkey breast from the packaging and pat it dry with paper towels. Apply a generous coat of Meat Church Holy Gospel BBQ Rub to the entire surface of the turkey breast. In a small bowl, mix melted butter and apple cider vinegar. Use this mixture to baste the turkey throughout the smoking process. Sprinkle kosher salt and black pepper on the turkey for additional seasoning. Place the seasoned turkey breast on the preheated smoker grate, and insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the meat without touching the bone. Smoke the turkey at 250F until the internal temperature reaches 165F, typically taking about 3-4 hours depending on the size of the turkey breast. Baste the turkey with the butter and vinegar mixture every hour during the smoking process. Once the turkey is cooked, remove it from the smoker and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing. Slice the smoked turkey breast and serve it with your favorite sides. Enjoy the smoky goodness!
