i know you mentioned in a previous post a while back that the Pack wasn't affected by the whole monster thing, but i'm still mildly curious about their current status, like how they managed to avoid... (motions to the au) that, and whatnot. i've been fixated on those characters lately and i'm in desperate need of content lol
The Pack survived through getting resources from the environment and wildlife. It was just them and their operators. Miss Jenny went out to find help – she didn’t care about herself, she prioritised trying to get the Pack off the island, and the mainland bridge was closed off, and there were no ships and cranes (all the cranes went crazy). So she set out herself to find an escape. After a full day passed, the Pack was extremely worried. So from that point, they began the task of surviving the currently dangerous island of Sodor, and finding Miss Jenny. Jack came up with the idea to vlog their process, and trying to use the vlogs as an attempt at an S.O.S. Along the way, their drivers used plants and bits of bushes and mud to decorate the vehicles in camouflage, so monster engines wouldn’t detect them as much. They’d also had to deal a fair bit of damage, such as damaged windows, shovel arms occasionally malfunctioning, dents, nearly rolling off hills and Alfie had to go around nearly two years with a partially functional shovel which he had to drag around and could only lift a couple feet off the muddy ground.
