I knowww I know! I’ve been dead for a while- I’m sorry! Life was a clingy backstabbing ex so I had to go set proper boundaries before going back to my turn table shenanigans.

I started this back in June of last year, then finished in October of 2025. but life got busy and I forgot to post him here, until now of course! I’m very pleased with his design and it honestly fits him so well. 🚂💙🩵✨❤️

🚂💙Traineeger Tommy Lore🩵✨ —————————————————————

Thomas Christopher Awdry, better known as “Tommy” by close comrades, is a humanoid 16 year old (aga subject to change) , E2 tank engine with striking blue eyes, a striking blue sweater with his signature number 1 in the middle, and smart blue sneakers. He’s a very cheeky, sassy, smug little engine, with a short stumpy funnel and two medium sized foot wheels on either side of his sneakers.

He’s is best friends with Percy and James, and often likes to play pranks on the school seniors, Gordon especially. He is quite good friends with my Sona, Rainbow RailStarr, the deer train, aka me as a humanoid train. He often likes to go to her for advice, or have deep philosophical conversations about life. Rainbow is one of the main engines he feels comfortable opening up to, especially concerning his complicated feelings about certain things, or engines, Like Rosie. 😏 🚂💖❤️🌹

As such he can be easily flustered, depending on what it is. Percy and James never miss a beat to tease him about Rosie’s obvious crush on him, nearly making his safety valve combust. 🤣🚂💙🚂💚🚂❤️🌟✨ Finally, he’s bold, loyal, very outspoken and unafraid to hide his feelings and just a loveable silly guy. Will absolutely stick his tongue at you- 🤣🤣

🌟💙Conclusion 🩵🌟 ————————————— There’s a lot more I have to say about him, but that’s where I’m gonna end the lore dump for now! Don’t want things to get too too long! XD But yeah! Super glad I finally drew him! More Traineeger peices coming soon! I plan to draw, well, most of the cast anyway- 🤣😭🚂🎨✨

“Whatcha looking at?”

Murdoch jumped as the sudden chipper question beside her startled her.

 Recognizing the voice, she made sure to look to her side, then down to look at Cassandra’s, as if she had expected a taller engine.

The tank engine’s smirk remained nonetheless, clearly pleased she had managed to startle the 9F.

Murdoch sighed, “the new diesel we are trialing, although I was trying to be discreet.”

Cassandra snorted, “discreet right, the same way my fireman thinks she's discreet when she watches my driver bend over.”

Both engines ignored the squeaked sound from the tank engine's cab.

Murdoch stared studiously ahead, “I don't know what you're talking about Cassandra, my interest in Kestrel is purely professional…”

“Theres already a betting pool on how long before she gets tired of waiting for you to approach her and approaches you instead.” The No.1 said instead.

“Of course there is…wait, for her approaching me?”

Cass rolled her eyes, “I swear the bigger the engine the denser when it comes to feelings. Yes, approach you.”

She then sighed at the deer in the headlamp look the 9F wore.

“Go and ask her if you could treat her to a coffee at the station coffee shop.”

“I wouldn't want to be presumptuous…”

“I swear to the Lady, I will tell James who caused the harbor incident back in sixty two if you don't get your tender over there.” Cassandra said bluntly.

 “What?! How do yo…you weren't even on the island at the time!?” 

The tank engine raised an unimpressed eyebrow.

“That won't save you from the red menace. Now go ask the very patient pretty lady if she would like a drink.”

Murdoch stared at the unflappable expression the tank engine wore.

“Why do you care?”

“Because you're my friend,” Cassandra said surprisingly gently, “and I know you well enough to know you would keep second guessing yourself rather than talk to her.”

Murdoch narrowed her eyes at the No.1, “you would have talked to me privately if that was the only reason, not threatened me with James…what do you have wagered?”

“Nothing,” She said simply, “... although Gordon may have offered a repaint for my coaches if I ‘managed to get her to actually approach her rather than stare like a wife waiting for her husband to return from the war.’”

Murdoch sagged on her frames with a defeated sigh, “I must have been bloody obvious if Gordon has noticed.”

“Perhaps a bit. Although he is more observant than he is given credit for when he can be bothered to care, and he does care about you.”

“Still, she probably knows.”

“Oh almost certainly.”

“And not approaching her would only make it more awkward.”

“For the rest of us certainly.”

“Alright,” Murdoch released her brakes, “I can't embarrass myself more than I have, so I might as well do it.”

“I wouldn't worry about it,” Cass said with a lazy snugness that made Murdoch look over warily.

“After all,” the little imp said with a smirk, “she promised me a coffee if I actually got you off the siding,” and with that the tank engine sped off in reverse with a cheery whistle.

That little!!

Murdoch was about to give the tank engine a piece of her mind when she glanced back forward and saw the diesel at the platform looking over at her with a raised eyebrow and a daring smile.

Right.

Murdoch rolled forward with a nervous swallow, she could get revenge on the little puffball later, she had an engine to ask out.

A/N: Murdoch is a girl in my AU. Also Kestral is the British Railways HS4000, which is transferred to Sodor in 1971.
