and now,, a THIRD combo page of smol engines!! got over fifty done by now, which is a bit wild heheh!

As seen in a few posts, I've recently taken to sculpting some "Beangines" to both practice my sculpting in general and to quench my thirst for cutesy critters. Also to deal with a bit of a creative slump I've been in, where drawing and lining has been quite difficult for me.

Slowly and steadily, I've been working on the Sodor Cast and even some Mainlanders. A few of which I put into silly scenarios ([X][X][X]) for fun.

Thomas, Edward, Henry, Gordon, James, Percy, Toby, Duck, Oliver & Toad, Emily, BoCo and Bear as Beangines.

Ryan, Spencer, Flying Scotsman and City of Truro as Beangines.

I've also worked on some AU versions of characters.

Overall I wasn't exactly sure what I was hoping to achieve when I started sculpting these. It was a way to stave off boredom and feel like I was still being productive while in a funk.

I am quite pleased with the end product tho! It's been fun trying to make these little critterfied versions of canon, AU and OC engines both cute and still recognizable, and anytime I feel the need to add to the collection I either look to the main cast of the series, or I scope out someone's character or AU to mess with!

It's pretty fun! Even when the design proves challenging to recreate!

Thomas x Rosie: same thing as the one above but I can see the chemistry in this one (although I have beef with Rosie is Red, but that’s a rant for another day)

Thomas x Ryan: imma be real, I haven’t seen Lost Treasure yet, but I’ve heard good things about both the movie and this ship so I’ll let it slide

Percy x Diesel (or as @thegayestofbats dubbed it: BlackMail): you love Sunshine/Moody Good boy/Bad boy pairings (me included)

Percy x Diesel 10 (or as I like to call it: PuffClaw): same reason as the one above cranked up to 11, I LOVE this pairing specifically for the absurdity of it, very much Fluttershy/Discord dynamic, taking the sweetest ray-of-sunshine character and putting them with the most chaotic villain in the franchise! (Shoutout to @catmiafromargentina we in this together fam😂)

Douglas x Oliver: Escape is your favorite episode, and you fall head over heels for the rescue/love at first sight trope

Diesel x Mavis: same thing as the Thomas/Emily one but a Diesel version, I’ve seen these two interact twice

I was introduced to dot by @pepperher and she is such a little cutie !! She was a small engine that build larger engines, pulling boilers and heavy items for people . So I decided to make her into a pillow pet!

So I thought why not have the smaller engine meet the bigger? Big boy 4017 being loafed on by dot, because I find it cute that she built most of the engines and that title would be considered a parent . So she is mama /meemaw dot!
