Sketched a small Oltyx as a thank you note for a friend who lent me the TDK books. Not bad for a first attempt at necron drawing, I guess.
Hiya! So I just finished your final hq quest comic, and can I just say I absolutely LOVED it!!! I love how the stained glass style, I imagine it's something you could see as you're walking down the grand hall to the throne room or something. Can I ask tho, what's kiyoko's role in the story?
thanks so much, i’m glad you enjoyed it!! ooh it’s been a few years since i wrote it, but i don’t think i came up with a detailed role for kiyoko, tanaka, or noya (since they weren’t really featured in the comic). i think kiyoko, like kuro, would have stood behind oikawa and paid the price of corruption to keep her homeland safe, and tanaka and noya of course followed her!
Discworld x Warhammer 40k (Lysikor from The Twice Dead King)
(1) So first of all I absolutely love the pastel Iwa and Oikawa stickers and the big 3 artwork is AMAZING! I'm honestly hyped that they're going on sale next week! Secondly I wanted to ask if I could use your Tale of the Demon King comic as the backstory for this haikyuu dnd campaign I'm working on. It's going to be an online thing so I would most definitely provide links and credit. It would be a private thing between me and a couple ppl I know.
(2) Your art really inspired me and I would love to be able to share it and build upon it. I completely understand though if you say no. Either way I’m still excited to see whatever you create next!
thank you!! these are my first stabs at stickers and i’m really happy with how they all came out… drawing chibis is always fun and relaxing and if horikoshi won’t give nejire the equal screentime she deserves BY GOD I SHALL (in this very minor way haha)
and, yes, go ahead! i’m flattered you want to use TTDK as a backdrop for your campaign. go nuts and have fun with it!!

Hello Ever! I wanted to tell you that I loved the FHQ storybook so, so much. It's so beautiful, I can't stop looking at it. I do have a question about it. You said originally you'd planned to only imply that Iwaoi survived the final battle, but changed it to fluff instead. Can I ask what the implication of the original would've been? My heart feeds on angst.
thank you, that makes me so happy to hear! TTDK was my very first fan project and i still recall the anxiety i felt when i first posted it. whenever i see it pop up again in my activity feed, i feel so proud again of my first born… ( ´•̥̥̥ω•̥̥̥` )
tbh, that was pretty much it! the last page of the book originally didn’t exist. i think in my thumbnails it was just the astral blade left behind in the ruined castle (kinda like a temple of time feel?)–and in that story, Iwa died from his wounds after he passed the astral blade on to Hinata, Oikawa was likewise freed from the voidsent by death, and the heroes left the sacred sword behind as a very solemn grave marker.
at that point i thought the story was too much like 90% of fhq fic and decided to change the ending to something much happier, lol. and that’s how ttdk maybe could’ve ended!
hello! i was going back through your fhq story book, and was wondering; if you ever opened an (online) store, would you consider printing it as a bound book? your art is amazing (the colours are BRILLIANT) and i think it would be a cool thing!
heyo! Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed TTDK! I’ve had a couple of requests for a hard copy/zine of the whole comic, but in retrospect I realized I did the whole thing in RGB. not CMYK… so the colors prolly won’t print right, and I don’t think I’ll have the time to redo each page for CMYK. :<
I hope somebody organizes a fantasy HQ zine again. I’d apply in a heartbeat if there was... this time equipped with the knowledge on properly preparing artwork for print, lol.
