The Twice-dead king: Ruin/Reign isn't as popular in Necron fiction because you can't 'old man yaoi'-ify it. This is fine, because it means only real fans enjoy it. TDD is about suffering. It is about being blind to your destiny. It is about self-deception. It is about self actualisation. The dysphorakh is an incredible piece of Necron worldbuilding. The Reveries.

It's the piece of Necron fiction that outright tells us that there is a Trans Phaeron and it's not this big memeable character so it's not shouted about. It's just a statement of fact

The hero fucks up again and again and you are screaming at him to get his shit together but he can't. He's immortally 20. He's still a kid, scorned and bitter by exile.
