Oltyx is the most "idk what i would have done either" protagonist in the necron-focused books I think, poor guy is frantically bolting together what he should do from first principles under high stress and it's really not going well. At least he's a bit happier by the end.
I thought it'd be interesting if he veiled his face as a Flayed One, as a sign of humility/letting himself grieve finally. He's got a lot to be sad about!
Tried my hand at a Yenekh design as well. I tried to incorporate the sweeping crescents of the scythe-type necron vehicles into his normal form with the horns and chest/shoulder armor, as well as a bit of Apis symbolism (the crescent horns become more aggressive forward-pointing horns and more animalistic when he has a full transformation). I think there's some fun symbolism to be had there, but mostly I think it's cute for him to have horns where Oltyx has a crown, making them a bit more 'equal' in head decor.
