#truth table

Well, shoot! Hard not to feel humbled and blown away by this opening sentence:

“Cathode Ray Tube is perhaps the most prolific and underrated musician of the past two decades”

I mean… Damn.

I’m honored. All I ever hoped for was that people liked my music enough to tell me and maybe drop some scheckels my way so I can keep rocking out with my weird self. This is something else!

You know what atheists need? Meaningless ritual.

Like baptism. The adult subject climbs down into a big pool, and the priest dunks him into the water over his head for a few seconds.

First time he pops up, the priests asks him “Have you let Mister Spock and Charles Darwin into your cerebellum?” Second time, he says “Do you embrace logic?” Third and final time, the priests asks “Will you lead your life according to the precepts of reason and critical thinking?”

After the candidate affirms three times, the priest then says to him “For inputs A and B and output X, draw now the truth table for the logical function X = A NAND B.”

When the candidate writes out and shows the truth table, the priest holds it out to the assembled congregation and says the Cant, “Behold the mysteries of logic.”
