An Intro to Therianthropy (Zine)

⁠❥ 4 JUNE 2026 | 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 has released a personal statement following her visit to 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐞 𝐍𝐇𝐒 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 in Withington, Manchester.

The Princess's visit was aimed at highlighting the healing power of holistic care, alongside clinical care, for people living with and beyond cancer.

In a statement released via Kensington Palace socials, she said :

❝ The Thank you to everyone at The Christie for such a moving visit today.

Meeting patients, families and staff was a powerful reminder that healing is about so much more than treatment alone. A cancer diagnosis affects every part of life, in mind, body and the deeper part of ourselves. The way we process fear, uncertainty and change is deeply personal.

The Christie’s commitment to holistic care, from art therapy and wellbeing spaces to emotional and spiritual support, helps people navigate not only illness, but the profound impact it can have on quality of life. These services empower patients to play an active role in their recovery and wellbeing, reminding us that care should always be centred on the whole person.

Thank you for sharing your stories with me, and for the compassion, creativity and dedication shown every day across the hospital.

Jonathan Sims who can taste what he's reading. The taste of berries as he reads about the sky eating people. Burnt rubber as he reads about running from abandoned churches, and the feeling of gravel slicing his mouth.

The smell of sawdust and rain, stinging his nostrils as he forces himself to read aloud.

Words jumping out of the page at him in vivid colours, and visions of shapes dancing across the walls. Burning in his fingertips and the feeling of bugs across his skin, bruising grips on his wrist.

Sure, he always feels like he's being watched. The tingle on the back of his neck and the ache in his head. The exhaustion seeping into his bones.

Jin and Taekook arrive back in Korea. Taekook are their adorable, usual magnets as they walk side by side at arriving in Seoul -

A reporter mentions Jk and Tae look like a couple with matching masks. Jk quickly glances at Tae as he rapidly agrees, which makes Tae get shy and giggle before saying the mask he’s wearing is Jk’s. Tae doesn’t disagree with the couple comment either.

🗣️: Jungkook-ssi, you two are a couple today, huh? The masks?

🐰: I know, right~

🐯: Ah~ it’s his (Jk’s)

🗣️: Oh~ it’s his?

According to one account, Jk’s response to the question was more:

그러게요 is a common Korean expression that can mean:

"I know, right?"

"Exactly."

"You're right."

"Yeah, that's true."

"I was thinking the same thing."
