The voice in my head comes to me from the other side of an auditorium. It echoes, a shell of its original form, as i reach across space and talk to myself from a corner. A lonely internal dialogue that I somehow manage to fix a distance to, my own language lost in the discontentful draft between sadness and hope.

Ya know, I think I am going to give up releasing any more books. To have abysmal sales means I have to sell at least 1, so far my reports say I have sold none.
The last workshop of the winter season for @flux_twc the theme today was “femme”, probably the one I was most looking forward to! As a trans masc person, who does have fluidity in gender expression, but feels like they need to go towards masc to be “seen” by others as masc… I appreciate the expiration of femininity. I don’t want to push it away or dismiss it, because I still enjoy it for myself. And I love the heck out of femmes 💚💗. This is my trip to Sioux City, Iowa Pride. I got to meet Shadow the Pride Pig and see a dinosaur dance.
The thought of driving through the South on purpose, as a butch dyke, was a vision of my gay hell. But for the first stop of our tiny Pride tour, Country Roads, Take Me Homo, a small town is exactly where we ended up.
Country Roads, Take Me Homo. Our first Tiny Pride was one of my favorites. We drove to Hardy, Arkansas, population 756. We were greeted as family. Being queer means you have family everywhere.
