Kowala-HPD
A term for when one's HPD is related to kowalas.
HPD here can be cis, trans or any other prefix you like.
Symbol from this post.
i couldve sworn i had an ask in my inbox asking about transSzPD + transASPD tips, but it's disappeared off of the face of the earth..
anyways. idk how much help i'll be on account of i'm not an expert, but here are some things to consider/try out i guess??
obviously, research the conditions. not just the clinical descriptions of the symptoms, but the lived experiences of ppl with these disorders. reddit has both szpd and aspd subreddits to check out
be conscious of your goals for transitioning. know which symptoms you want to exhibit and which ones you can ignore.
build up a persona that embodies your transitioned self and practice with it. i enjoy immersive daydreaming, but i made this blog for practice as well.
i cant really speak on the lived experiences of aspd, since i dont have it, but below the cut i'll throw in some lived schizoid-adjacent experiences i deal with in my life.
note that i dont technically fit the diagnostic criteria, since our emotional stuntedness was being addressed in therapy throughout our adolescence, so i now have a larger emotional range that szpd would exhibit, but we were severely emotionally repressed for large parts of our life, so i have some experience to draw on still.
TranspanPD: A transabled ID where you feel you are meant to have every personality disorder.

id like to ask for tips regarding transition for NPD ?
(also can you request tips for multiple things in one ask or should you send multiple asks with only one request ? i dont want to spam you but i dont want my ask to be overwhelming either)
hello! first off to answer the last question, you can send multiple things in one ask or spread it out to the multiple asks. whichever one makes yall more comfortable. dont worry, neither will overwhelm us! we will answer everything when we feel ready. ^^ one of our headmates here is also transNPD so i got that headmate to help me out here. other then that feel free to add on in the comments if i missed anything. anyway, lets get into the transNPD advice!
putting yourself first over others! this can be small things such as making sure to engage in self care before caring about others, or larger things such as being firm with your boundaries with no compromise.
make a big deal out of your achievements. even if they are small, they are still very important!
only be around others who see your value and care about you. bonus points if they also have npd or are transitioning, then its like mutual aid.
look down on and be critical of others for tiny mistakes. though its better to keep any rude comments in your head.
show little care for anyone other than those outside of your social circle [and yourself!]
strive to have the best of everything. whether it is material goods like expensive foods and electronics, or more abstract things such as the best connections or the best life you can be living right now.
expect others to be thinking about you and to prioritize your needs.
feel angry or upset whenever things dont go the way you wanted/planned them to. also feeling shame for yourself but keeping that fact away from others.
put on your profiles that you have NPD. if you want to specify trans or not is fully up to you, either way is alright.
becoming transtrauma or leaning into cistrauma could help, since NPD can be caused by childhood experiences and trauma.
hope that this helps! let me know if i missed anything since this is my first time doing one of these.
heyy btw. as a cispwnpd? (cis person with npd, if the acronyms confuse you)
i give everyone full permission to be transnpd. and other personality disorders.
you dont need my permission but i give it anyway.
i don't think my last ask sent but im transpanpd too !! i already have symptoms of all of them, i have episodes/cycles of all of them or some happen simultaneously. idrc about whether i actually fit the criteria or not tho bc im not looking for diagnoses (wont be mad tho if i could collect them all hehe) i js want to encompass all of them enough to pass as them. the panpd conflicting symptoms is SO real.... pain. but i still ♡ it. for me transitioning mostly means unmasking and listening to my symptoms instead of stifling them/coping, social transition (find communities/friends that accept it, tell others im all of them, etc)... good luck to uu! ☆☆
Tumblr did infact eat ur ask whoopsies
For me transition looks like being able to see my symptoms myself, if other people can tell I have one or another PD, great! But self-validation is mainly my goal
As for diagnoses, I'm just taking a spin of a wheel on it, even before I started transitioning I have been pretty aware that I have some kind of PD (my doctors flip flop between BPD and NPD), and it's only recently that I've reached out with my therapist to make an actual effort into getting diagnosed with a personality disorder. Even if I go through the entire process and they end up telling me "nah, you don't have one" I will most likely be fine. I may be a bit bummed out because yk, Ive been recognized in the past as having one just not officially diagnosed, but as I said earlier, self validation is my goal
Overall good luck to you also!! I love seeing others with similar problems I also face when trying to transition 🫶
