Notes:
[PT: Notes]
This-is-transgynephobia, this-is-biphobia, and this-is-sapphicphobia is run by a racist mod [link] (more examples are under the cut*) who stalks people and makes tons of accounts, do not follow those accounts.
This-is-transandrophobia is an endophobe [link], do not follow that account.
This-is-transmisandry is paramisic (has reblogged content conflating pedophile/zoophile with predator, has them on their DNI on their personal account, has reblogged content promoting authoritarian censorship.) Please do not harass (this goes for the other accounts too, but I'm extra specifying that here cuz this is a minor.)
Thisis-paraphilicsocialostracization is an endophobe [link], do not follow that account. UPDATE: So the account removed the endophobic statement from that post, but it did exist. They also removed all comments relating to it, completely erasing accountability.
This-is-islamophobia doesn't support LGBTQIA+ people [link], disregards enben ("both genders"), and goes by the "respect but don't support" rule, which isolates LGBTQIA+ Muslims from the account and also perpetuates the idea that queerness is a sin or choice.
To the people telling me that not every @ works - the reason why is because Tumblr only allows 50 mentions per post. There's nothing I can do about it.
(*Examples of the mod's racism below.)
Some people think 'Transfem' and 'Transmasc' are defined by what someone is transitioning away from and not what they're transitioning towards and I think that says a lot about how they see the trans community and gender identity as a whole.
Same thing about people trying to define Lesbian/sapphic as being non men x non men.
Why are we trying to define ourselves based off of what we aren't instead of what we are? Isn't that backwards? Ultimately it comes off as an exorsexist attempt to ward off anyone with a complex/non-binary gender identity, especially multigender and intersex folk.
An issue the trans community has is still viewing nonbinary or multigendered people as still viewed as "basically a transman/trans woman".
The person's identity is viewed through the lense of whatever their AGAB is.
.
Example: Somebody who was AFAB & is bigender is more likely to be viewed as a transmasc who just happens to have some femininity added in. They are still expected to consider themselves a man, transition in a way that's 'typically masculine', & abandon their own womanhood.
The moment this person expresses their womanhood in any way their identity is immediately called into question. Because the trans community cannot imagine people who are not in the FTM/MTF binary. Your experiences *must* fit the most typical model of what people experience.
.
Nonbinary people who are agender/similar have a similar experience.. their AGAB is always called into question to see what category they "really" fall into. You can't just be nonbinary & not connected to transfeminity (trans woman lite) or transmasculinity (trans man lite), we need to figure out where you 'actually' belong..
That's why you see so many more people going "are you transfem or transmasc?". Even though it carves out a larg portion of the community, people only see two categories and must force you into their binary.
.
This isn't even touching on how the lack of grey area immediately screws over any intersex person either..
People have decided thay AGAB=where you're transitioning. What your identity "really" is, and it is nothinh less than transphobic.
.
The people in the community who enforce things like this need to start deconstructing sex & gender more than just "sometimes you're born in a girl body but you're actually a guy" & vice versa. You cannot claim to support your fellow trans people without putting in the work to support them all. This needs to end.
Why are people so against shifting language to be more inclusive?
"Ladies and gentlemen" should be distinguished guests/folks (or something else along those lines.)
"Men, women, and children" should be adults and children.
"Girls and boys/men and women" should be people. Or, if you must, girls, boys, & enbies or men, women, & enben.
"Brothers and sisters" should be siblings.
"Aunts and uncles" should be piblings.
"Nieces and nephews" should be niblings.
"Mothers and fathers" should be parents.
"Sons and daughters" should be children.
"Husbands and wives/boyfriends and girlfriends" should be partners.
"Masculinizing or feminizing HRT" should be T or E, or - if you want to be more specific - androgenizing, micro-androgenizing, estrogenizing, micro-estrogenizing, androestrogenizing, or micro-androestrogenizing.
"Transmascs & transfems" should be trans people (as transandrogynous, transneutral, transnull, transgenderless, transxenine, transoutherine, transaporine, multigender, and mixed gender people also exist.)
"AFAB and AMAB" should be raised/perceived as female or raised/perceived as male (as intersex people can be given reassigned genders after birth and/or socially imposed genders, meaning that they could be raised/treated in contradiction to what they were assigned at birth)
Why is it that, even in the queer community, binary concepts of gender and sex are still pushed?
(This isn't referring to your own personal connections. For example, if you have only aunts & uncles, saying "aunts and uncles" isn't wrong when referring to your own personal family. Its when you apply this as a generalized statement about other people that it becomes an issue.)

This just in: Multigender people are intentionally being transmisogynistic if they choose not to disclose their assigned gender.
That is. Certainly a take.
(Context of this reply: A discussion on how genderqueer/multigender people who were assigned female don't want to say that they were assigned female because they want to escape accountability for being transmisogynistic and don't want to be seen as TME. And not because, you know, trans people don't owe you knowledge of their agab and it's quite frankly transphobic to demand that)
Important notice: the tools people used to affirm their gender, does not tell you anything about that person‘s gender identity!
There are transfemmes who chest bind, there are transmascs who get laser hair removal, there are plenty of intersex folks who take E or T, there genderqueers and transneutrals/others who have had a Mastectomy or Vaginoplasty. There are plenty of transgender and intersex people who have some type of combination or none of these things.
Clothing doesn’t have gender, and neither does hormones, procedures, pronouns, or treatments!
Stop acting like men and women are too inseparable categories with no overlap or similarities. I am no longer asking.
