Doll Hackin'
I have a doll head I'm working on that needs a smaller body than Barbie-size. Since I don't want to spend any money, I looked through the box'o'bodies and found a Just Play Spirit Riding Free body that's a good size in the torso, but I don't like the legs--I feel like they're too long for a young teen, plus they have the large high heel feet so common for high school age character dolls these days.
The feet, and some of the issue of leg length, could easily be dealt with by cutting off the original feet and taking some of the end of the leg off with them, then drilling into the leg and inserting the ankle pegs from a spare set of feet. I do not, however, have any suitable sets of spare feet.
What I did have was a spare set of Liv Legs (thanks to @musicalmeowsandcandiedlemons!) and an idea I've wanted to try...
(many photos of unclothed and disassembled plastic below the cut)
Tutorial for my method of adding fabric eyelids to plushies. This isn't the easiest thing to record, but hopefully what I've shown will suffice. Highly recommend looking for a tutorial for ladder stitches if you're unsure of what to do.
Funko Pop, Toy Story and Sid Phillips
I get frankly a disproportionate amount of irritated whenever I'm reminded that a Funko Pop version of Sid from Toy Story exists.
Wym the character whose defining trait was unique and interesting creature designs has been rendered into the blandest most low effort plastic tat form currently on the market.
It's this extremely personal and very petty version of old man yells at cloud but every time I see it I catch myself muttering grumpily.
Where's the movie realistic actual size Legs and Spider Baby figures with full articulation?!

the definition of trusting the process: made myself a custom club penguin toy inspired by the fish inside that looks really similar to the cp fish!!
turned a plush unicorn keychain into Doggerel from Gloomy Ruins Everything! I made my own wings & tail out of old cargo shorts.
Progress on the steampunk furby! The wings are posable!
