Recently, my friends got me into actual cardboard Magic: the Gathering and decided to make myself some tokens for my main deck.

So here are some wolves, based largely on Indian wolves and my pet Runa.

Yes, you can make this work.

Let’s say that you control Tolsimir, an unpaired Nightshade Peddler, and four Forests and then cast Howl of the Night Pack. Howl resolves and creates four Wolf tokens, which triggers both Tolsimir and Nightshade Peddler four times each. You get to put these triggers on the stack in the order of your choice. If you stack them with the Nightshade Peddler trigger for a given token followed by the Tolsimir trigger for that token, you can pair that token, giving it deathtouch in time for it to fight and kill and die, leaving the Peddler unpaired and ready to pair with the next wolf, etc.

Enjoy your wolf machine gun!

(Do note that if any of the fights don’t happen, due to the target being gone, then Peddler won’t be able to pair with the next wolf in line.)

A month or two ago I built a new MTG wolfy Tolsimir deck with both the newer card as the general and the old one in the deck. Unfortunately I didn’t have a token for the old version of Voja, so I thought I’d make one up myself. I used both the original Tolsimir and the Voja token here as references.
