Continuing the trend of Winterhold archmages being horrible, Melvis did anything but lead. He was constantly on tour and eventually, without notice, fucked off to Apocrypha for a century, leaving College faculty to believe he was dead. He wasn't happy when he returned and they had replace him but well…
He's been all over Oblivion and has more daedric than mortal associates. Claims he's more suited for Oblivion than Nirn.
He's a brilliant mage but also scatterbrained and impatient, often acting before thinking.
Claims at least three daedra are quarreling over his soul. Who changes depending on Melvis' mood and level of intoxication.
He's adventurous and restless, can't stick with one place or activity for a long time.
He's not shy, but has zero "social battery" and despises crowds, or noisy places, for that matter.
Despite his fickle nature, a promise is a promise! And if he causes a problem, HE will take care of it. It's a matter of pride.
Manlet by dunmer standards.
Also, while I have yet to create Zixzebex the Skaafin lawyer (Thought a Skaafin wouldn't be ideal for the arcanist class), Melvis and Zix are well acquainted...
