Iām so happy I did not grow up with people photographing each and every moment of our drunken nights before our brains developed. I was usually the only one with a camera (film that is) so Iām the only one who perhaps could cancel my high school acquaintances because of our bad behaviour. (Ok the school actually censored our class picture because of some very related to what happens to Hudson today š¬ not my wrongdoing but small conservative towns sucks!)
Iām glad they made a statement to TMZ but I find it still weird to blame the person who someone wrote hate upon for thisā¦

They're good at breaking celebrity news very quickly, having strong entertainment- industry sources and reporting some major stories before other outlets. Like celebrity deaths, divorces, births etc.
The bad side is they focus heavily on celebrity gossip and scandals, using aggressive reporting tactics at times, raising privacy and ethics concerns, especially around celebrities and sensitive events and sometimes emphasizing speed and sensationalism over depth.
PR teams often use TMZ for unofficial statements. A publicist will provide background information, a tip, or a quote attributed to phrases like "a source close to the situation" or "someone with direct knowledge." TMZ then reports it as news rather than publishing a formal press release.
In this case i think using TMZ to address this issue was a good choice.

The only thing i don't like about it is the "friend" speaking on his behalf to restore his character. This fandom doesnāt trust any of his "friends", they're the one's getting him into these situations in the first place...
My guess is the picture is pretty damning and undeniable, and it spread far enough that a statement was considered the best course of action rather than staying silent. Since it happened after we already had IG account gate, and got no statement or acknowledgment when fandom asked for it, maybe this swastika gate made staying silent impossible.
