I took Baron's arm to be funny, cause tbh he deserves it. and I know now that the attack he led into the metalhead nest was probably done after he overthrew Damas, but as a kid for some reason I got it in my head that Damas actually organized the assault and because of how badly it failed, Praxis was able to rally a group to take over the palace. Im playing on that so the nest attack was a poor move made by a naive young Damas, which Praxis pays the price for, leading to his betrayal against the throne. To be clear, this Praxis was always going to grow to hate Damas and want control of Haven, losing his arm just put it into full gear.

for anyone wondering about Damas's leg, it is technically meant to be a parallel with Praxis, but mainly its my explanation for why Damas would ever let a teenager drive around a crumbling city while being targeted by missiles. like mate, i remember playing that area with the janky ass car controls and thinking "jesus christ jak, you're embarrassing yourself in front of your dad, im sorry im so shit at this"

When Percy arrives at camp and Grover goes to apologise to him about being the worst Saytr in Camp History, Luke was standing between them and from my angle it looked like Grover was apologising to Luke about Thalia. And the actor who played Luke looked absolutely devastated when Grover said sorry for getting Percy’s mom killed. It was like Luke was reliving that night all over again.
