Thoth drawing please🙏
This nerd?
literally adore the way tkc treats their gods, especially when compared to the other rrverse series. yeah this is skrimbh hes a guy who lives in a downtown apartment that doubles as a storage den for the local library and makes biological weapons in his free time. he survives solely on krispy kreme donuts and caffeine pills. yeah he does have near-unlimited power but he kinda just. chills around. yeah no he's cool with us he helps us with our taxes. yeah no the other gods are all bastards and need to be imprisoned or otherwise gotten rid of i am SO sick of their bullshit. beehgt skipped in front of me in the mcdonadls drive thru yesterday and i yelled at her to get fucked. yeah she cursed me
☥ KANE CHRONICLES' EGYPTIAN GODS AND THEIR MAGICIAN'S HEADCANONS:𓁟 THOTH: GOD OF WRITING, CALCULATION, SCRIBES, AND KNOWLEDGE, OF MAGIC AND SCIENCE, OF MOON/ASTRONOMY 𓅞
A/N: THOTH MY DUDE. I liked Rick Riordan’s portray of these god, even if he sort of had to make him less OP for the sake of the story. I get it but man, Thoth was really important. Kind of went overboard here so hopefully it still makes sense to you guys. EGYPTIAN GODS AND THEIR MAGICIANS MASTERLIST {A03} || {TUMBLR}
we need to have more content on tkc Thoth. thought ppl on this site loved massive nerds smh

Did Thoth stay at the Memphis Pyramid after it was renovated into a Bass Pro Shop??
I can just imagine the baboons playing basketball with the taxidermy bears or mounted fish as basketball hoops or lounging in the tents that are on display before helping Thoth and the ibises with more research.
I had two whack dreams last night
In the first, Rick Riordan announced that he was retiring but before then, he wanted to release one last book series, and that book series was a Percy Jackson/Kane Chronicles/Hiveswap crossover involving Percy, Annabeth, Carter, and Sadie going to this weird divine boarding school together, along with some side characters from their series (Thoth was the only one I could remember for certain being there) and then them discovering some dark secret the school had, along with the Hiveswap characters (the last scene of the first book involved Percy, Annabeth, Carter, and Sadie rescuing the Soleil twins and Tegiri from some underwater facility where they were imprisoned and being tortured).
For whatever reason, this series was wildly unpopular, like Morbius-level unpopular, and Rick decided to just cancel the series after one book, leaving it on a permanent cliffhanger, and I was one of the only people in its fandom enjoying it and creating fan content and I was just so upset
Are there any modern adaptations of your deities that you really enjoy?
//glances at @feeshies' version of TKC Thoth and Punderworld's depictions of the Greek gods// Yes, but those two specifically.
See, the problem I have is that a lot of people who make modern adaptations are either mocking the deities in question or mocking the idea that these deities could be worshiped. As a modern pagan, it kinda hurts to see your gods depicted in the worst possible light all the time.
I would go on and on about my own depictions of the deities, but that's not what this question is about.
Anyway, Punderworld strikes a balance that really makes me happy: humanizing the Greek gods while also emphasizing that they're, you know, gods.
And Fish is a great artist who takes "death of the author" in a direction that I respect, love, and applaud.
