Timeless Wells- Extra 4 (Flash)
āThank you for an amazing dinner (Y/N).ā
You smile at Harrison.
āThank you for coming.ā
He hands you the dry plate, and you stack it into your tray. Harrison places the cloth down, and you turn to him. Youāre a bit sad that the night is already over.
A part of you doesnāt want to leave his side. He shifts on his feet, taking a step.
āDo you-ā
āWould you like to-ā
You both pause, and you smile, urging him to speak. He takes a soft breath.
āTonight, would it be okay if I just held you (Y/N)?ā
Your heart strums at his words.
āI would like that.ā
A look of pure joy seems to run across his face.
āThatās great! Thatās great.ā He does a little shuffle of his feet and you canāt help but giggle.
āIām going to pack some clothes and then we can head to your place.ā
āSounds good to me!ā
His smile doesnāt leave, not even when you turn the corner.
~~
Having teleporting abilities really did save on gas. Harrison had gotten you both there in record time, and you were preparing to take a bath and freshen up.
āTowel, tooth paste, wash towel, shampoo..Conditioner! I forgot the conditioner!ā
Harrison is scrambling as he gathers items for you to shower. You take his hand to stop his crazy antics.
āRelax, Iām not going to run off because you forgot the conditioner.ā You laugh.
āI know, I know. Iām just nervous.ā
āWell you donāt have to be. Iām not going anywhere. Alright?ā
He nods, holding your hands.
Heās such a sweetheart.
āYou know Iām happy you only show this side of yourself to me. If we hadnāt gotten this close I would have never suspected you were such an adorable guy.ā He flushes lightly with a chuckle.
āI should let you get in the shower. Call me if you need anything. ā
Harrison leaves a kiss on your forehead as he heads down the hall. Itās so crazy he really has no idea how fortunate you feel when his eyes look your way. You giggle to yourself, heading for the bathtub. You fill it up, plucking one of your bath bombs from your bag. It takes a while for the water to fill up. When itās filled, the scent of your soap makes you sigh.
You strip, sliding into the tub. You lay back, mind running through all that has gone on in your life recently. Meeting Harrison befriending him. Now dating him. You canāt say this is the route you thought your life would take. You smile. It feels kind of nice being the only one who knows his secret. In your eyes heās a hero.
The powers he holds that he doesnāt abuse like the way you know so many criminals would. Then leading a company to further science that would ultimately help the world. He was intelligent and heād built a life for himself.
But your mind trails back to the story of his past. All heād suffered, lost. Yet he still came back here.
Just for another chance at love.
With you.
At the start you tried to push him away because you didnāt feel like you deserved it.
Yes, you were terrified of his abilities at the beginning. But the more you got to know him, the easier it was to love him.
Love?
āI love him..ā
Your body becomes tense. Then you jump upright. You grab your towel carelessly, running out of the tub a bit clumsily.
āH-Harrison!!ā You call.
You pull open the door, darting outside, and Harrison is running towards you. Both of you meet halfway. Heās holding you protectively.
āWhatās wrong!ā
Heās looking around for anything. A sign that will give him an idea of what the problem is. Youāre still soaking wet. Your breathing is a bit heavy from the short sprint.
āI-I love you.ā
He seems to be processing your words. You take a deep breath this time.
āI love you Harrison Wells.ā
Heās silent for a while. You sort of expect it. It seems like he doesnāt know what to say. How to feel.
āYou..love me..ā
You nod frantically.
āI-I do! I love you!! I just..I love you..ā
A smile makes its way on his face, and he pulls you into a hug, laughing happily. Although thereās clear elation, you can spot the hint of sadness. You hear it in his voice when he speaks. He tightens his hold as if heāll wake up and youāll be gone.
āI love you too..so much..ā
You return the embrace, holding on just as tightly as you cry.
āI love you.ā
Itās a whisper that you feel that you have to continuously convey. Harrison nods tearfully. He canāt bring himself to say anymore words. He doesnāt need to. You already know. You can feel it in his embrace.
See it in his eyes everyday.
Hear it in his words whenever he says your name.
Thatās it.
Thatās enough.
