so, i know i've been totally MIA on this tumblr site. i don't know, i just haven't been finding myself in the mood to write or share. maybe it's been this semester at school and the recent changes that have been going on that aren't even changes to me personally, but to people in my life which have had an effect on my life (i.e. husband being laid off and landing a new job with a super long commute, husband also starting grad school this semester, etc). these changes have thrown me a bit more than i had originally anticipated. i'm also inching closer to the end of my own time in grad school and i'm finding it hard to get motivated to make sure i'll even graduate when i think i should (hello, senioritis!).
anyway, i thought i would break my radio silence with a really cool time-lapse video of the NYC marathon, which was this weekend. now, i don't understand people who get any kind of pleasure from running for more than 3 miles or running for hours on end. i do, however, get inspired by these very people i don't understand. while i know i'll never have the desire to run that much, if at all, i'm inspired to better myself in whatever way i actually CAN. it's just amazing to see this starting spot of the NYC marathon and the humungous throng of people (47k this year) that almost flow across this bridge. it's just amazing to watch.
