Heer (German army) Sturmtiger (Assault Tiger') was a WW2 Assault gun built on the Tiger I chassis and armed with a 380mm rocket-propelled mortar. The official German designation was Sturmmörserwagen 606/4 mit 38 cm RW 61. Its primary task was to provide heavy fire support for infantry units fighting in urban areas. The few vehicles produced fought in the Warsaw Uprising, the Battle of the Bulge and the Battle of theReichswald. The fighting vehicle was known by various informal names, among which the Sturmtiger became the most popular

Tiger I Heavy Tank - Aluminum Foil Sculpture
Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausführung "Tiger I" (E) und die deutsche Crew posiert für, Foto
Ok, a little tangent based on my War Thunder: Why do people think that the Tiger 1 is this killing machine that is invulnerable to Shermans and T-34s l? I know they were hyped up, but really? I done experiments with Realistic with my M4 76mm Sherman, and I found I can tank multiple shots from Tiger 1s in the front. Very few hit my notable weak spots in the armor, ie the Machine Gun Port. And I can hit Tigers with well placed shots. Why people go for the Tiger 1 is beyond me, with the Panther series being superior in most ways, including firepower.
I also did a run within the Tiger 1 H(a 'better' version), and found out that the Tiger has trouble penning Shermans from the front by just pointing at the tank. I had to aim. On the flip side, I found out that the Tiger 1 was too vulnerable to 'inferior' tanks from the front, with well placed shots.
What I'm saying is that people have a "Tiger is invincible" problem. It does dumbfound to see a large number of Axis teams being made up of Tiger 1s. I normally run inferior tanks, such as Panzer 4s and the like. Anyways, that's the end of my Ted Talk, have fun this Sunday!
