Unlike Moscow, some cities did have a Victory Day parade with vehicles this year. No modern armor, only WWII restoration. Of note is the GAZ AA in the third picture carrying a huge searchlight. 9 May 2026

An infographic of the most iconic military machines from the Second World War (1939-45). WWII marked a decisive shift in the nature of warfare, as victory depended not only on soldiers and commanders but on the industrial capacity, technological innovation, and logistical systems of entire states. Under leaders such as Adolf Hitler (rule 1933–1945), Joseph Stalin (rule 1924–1953), Franklin D. Roosevelt (presidency 1933–1945), and Winston Churchill (prime minister 1940–1945), nations mobilized science, factories, and labor on an unprecedented scale. Military machines became extensions of national strategy, designed not merely to fight battles but to sustain long-term, global war.

Fanart of the villains I did for my latest video on the DrasCOOL channel.
Now this character here is a real deep cut! I don't know if many of you have watched the Russian movie "T-34". It's a recent times (2019) war movie. And my personal opinion is that....it's decent. It's nothing special and the story can be really unbelievable at times with its portrayal of scenes in the historical setting (which wouldn't have been a problem, but the creators have been insisting that it is a super "historically accurate" movie...which is not).
Regardless! The most interesting thing about the movie, and the only reason that I can recomend you to watch it is for the character of Klaus Jäger. It's not that he is "an inovative character with so much dept and thought put into him that noone has ever done before!", but he is a fun villain and he is oozing of personality. I personally love the parallel the movie makes between him and his rival Russian tank commander Nikolai Ivushkin. Klaus' demise is also a bit touching... 🌉
