Here's something to make you feel sick and jealous and wishing for things that were shiny and new.
Cleaning out the basement The last few months I ran across a box of unopened Glad wrap. I was amazed that everything was still in place like it was just bought yesterday completely unused. It was sealed up and ready to go.
I do believe that that was back in October. It has been a good 10 months And that glad wrap still has Plastic around it Still going strong. I had decided to open it and go ahead and use it like normal held up against modern brands to see how long it would last and it's still going. I am into the next year.
I showed it here just to make you even more angry and that is my Mullen tea in the background. Products really were made better back in the day. Union carbide markings. I do not see a date listed but I'm guessing the very early 80s or late 70s Judging by all the stuff it was found with.
It doesn't rip, it doesn't tear, it's easy to manipulate. I can't say that I've ever held any better plastic product for putting food away in my hand. And that's the wild part holding it in your hand and actually using it. But the scientific tests are in and I hereby declare that they made things back in the day better than they do now. There is no more question.
