This is ableism and classism.
Until all governments are disability accepting, all healthcare is friendly towards the marginalized, and all diagnoses are free, it is unreasonable to expect everyone to get a diagnosis.

I'm sure you got this ask at least a hundred times (/hyp) but it's ableist how much any kind of disability aid costs, oftentimes for no reason too.
I need a wheelchair? can't afford it
my glasses? i can't afford to get them remade as often as I need to (I have a deteriorating eyesight)
insulin? it's insulting
my pain medication? my prokinetics? my migraine medication? I can't afford all of them
it sucks even more because disabled people are less likely to be employed, and sometimes they can't even work at all, and are entirely relying on family members or friends
also it's ableist that my doctor forced me to take another medication in liquid form despite me saying I hate that kind of medication, after asking me if I wanted the pills instead
This is ableism and classism.
DON'T LISTEN TO THE DICTATOR WHO GOT EXILED CRONOS
The way people from the southern us are often portrayed
It’s anti-idd and classist as hell. I’m just so sick of it, and I’m sick of people laughing at it
This is Anti-IDD and classist.

One thing the slow living movement doesn't acknowledge enough is that wealth and abled bodies are prerequisites to participation. The ability to engage in slow living is ultimately a privilege that many impoverished and marginalized people cannot access due to capitalism/classism/ableism/racism/queerphobia. It's such an irony to me that a supposedly anti-capitalist movement can be built on classist privilege in this way.
You have to have a degree of wealth to have enough free time for slow living.
In the same way that most clean living / green living / healthy living movements require wealth to actively participate in. You have to be wealthy to buy most eco friendly health foods, all-natural materials etc. because the people benefitting from capitalism know they can upcharge you for these things based on demand. The system rewards them for charging more.
Try living slow when you have to work three jobs just to make ends meet (this is not an exaggeration, I've literally done this before and my partner was working two jobs at the same time. We still could not afford my medical bills - very thankful for gofundme).
People say that it's a choice to be a workaholic. However, I'd argue that workaholism is only a choice if you're wealthy, because some of us are forced to work ourselves to the point of burnout just to stay alive. Workaholism is systemically enforced on poor and marginalized communities. This isn't made any easier by the fact that marginalized people (on the whole) make less money per hour and have more financial expenses than their more privileged counterparts.

Asker wishes to be anonymous!
This is: Transphobia and very easy to miss classism
The assumption that every rural place defaults to bigotry is bigoted, as the core of this assumption is that those in rural areas are too stupid to be nice and build community without hating specific minorities out of sheer ignorance. And while it's true that rural areas are more likely to have less funding for their education, that doesn't mean that they're inherently mean and stupid. It equates being stupid with being mean, and that's...obviously not at all rooted in reality. Yes, some people who are bigoted ARE uneducated, but they are WILLINGLY uneducated and don't want to learn. More often than not, these people are also from suburban and urban areas, at least from my personal observation.
I can't say I know what it's like to live in a rural area. I've either lived in suburban areas or urban areas, because my family comes from a place of mild privilege.
Transphobia because of the teacher thinking the subversion of a classic transphobic trope is 'weird' and shouldn't be brought up. I would get it if the anon had made the person win, and thus CAUSED the rural area to be bigoted, but that didn't happen, and it's not going to. And I agree that it shows how the area's culture is more open and accepting by showing one character who goes against that and isn't rewarded for it. The point that I get from this general summary is that the character the story is about loses badly because he got too cocky and confident, and likely is misogynistic in some way.
I'd love to see this story, anon! It would be pretty cool to read, in all honesty :)
A houseless traveler had her dog stolen by individuals that are possibly classist/discriminatory to homeless people
Please help her out if you can in any way.
Here is the link
Explanation of why people would be that horrible.. if needed:
Such are against homeless people having dogs , despite the reason someone homeless would have a dog is because it was already a stray / they have more a reason to keep scraping by . Especially with certain mental health issues taking care of something you care about can increase caring and fighting for oneself . It generally boils down to the grounding comfort and effort they have from that link . People with other health issues(plucked from my personal experience, I need something to actively engage in and care to. Which makes me stronger) that are struggling in their apartments know that feeling aswell in regards to animal connection, needing something to work on and ground them.
Such snooty people are against it usually because they are classist and then think homeless = drug/crimes ➡️other sorts of deragotory that reach into ableist rhetoric and dystopian pureist structure. It's stereotype and social structure propaganda leveraging to excuse mistreatment of people that are homeless. Such assume people that are unfortunately homeless cannot care for a dog because unproductive filth could never be good with an animal, which is obviously not true and disgusting. They think they are "saving" an animal that's clearly healthy with their owner, because homeless= bad lesser human to them. Then often than not hypocritically they do awful things to that animal and euthanasia etc
There could be a chance the tourists didn't know though. Or they could have likely been waiting for a vulnerable moment to take Bambi
Nova is absolutely wonderful and clearly takes great care of Bami excellently. And as you can see it's causing significant stress and distress to be away from such an emotional companion especially in such a vulnerable negative moment. It sucks she's been sick too.
Shes a light to alot of things in life and courageous. They are clearly a resourceful nomad that tends to the animal. Anti-homeless ashats don't see homeless people like that.
