Hey! I’m sort of a new studyblr. I created this studyblr last summer (2017) to help myself stay focused my sophomore year of college, but never made an introduction post! Sidenote: This blog has definitely helped me stay focused. I only recently started posting some of my own stuff and being more active than just reblogging other people’s posts. This is a side blog, my main blog is really just an aesthetic thing. Because this is a sideblog I follow with @i-don't-do-labels
About me:
· My name is Ray, she/her pronouns, and have currently spent 20 years on this earth.
· I’d say that I was a college sophomore, but finals will be over in about a week.
· I go to school in NYC and will often post pictures of my gorgeous university.
· I’m originally from California, nearish to Santa Barbara.
· I am a history and political science double major and will be studying for the LSATs the summer.
· I’m bisexual and still not comfortable in my own skin. LOL.
· Russian is my language in college, but I just finished my last exam. I am hoping to study more on my own. It is a very difficult language to learn and I commend anyone who is interested or studies it.
· I am a Scorpio and the qualities describe me to a t.
My interests:
· I love Harry Potter and it adds to half of my blog title (quill)
· The other half (Cyrillic) comes from not only my enjoyment of the Russian language but my interest in Slavic culture and politics. I am, in part, ethnically Ukrainian and when I was little my grandfather was searching for our family there. I got to grow up and watch him untangle this giant puzzle. He eventually traveled there and met his first cousin.
· Tea. I love loose leaf tea and have a really cute teapot that is featured in MANY of my posts. I also love cute cafes that serve tea.
· Britain. I am studying abroad in London next year!! I am so excited.
· Reading new books! If you have a suggestion of something I should read DM me.
· Time travel, I have read so many fanfics about time travel and have seen so many movies on the subject.
· Too many tv shows, Jane the Virgin, Madam Secretary, Big Bang, SNL, NCIS, GoT, Grace and Frankie, Legends of Tomorrow, and way too many more
· Sustainability!!! We only get one earth.
· My cats, I am too far away from my babies, I have four cats….

Day 1
Hello everyone! I know I haven't been posting for a while but this year has been crazy, even before Covid-19. I participated in 4 different moot court competitions and had to deal with 10 different lectures. But as you can guess and as most of you are I am under quarentine right now. This means I am no longer in Istanbul but at my hometown, in my parents' house. Unfortunately most of my things, including my passport, are in my dorm in Istanbul which gives me anxiety because travel between cities is banned right now. And god only know when will I be able to go and get them.
But, during this time at home I decided to do a productivity challange. I am not going to put a time limit on it but I will try to be productive every single day. There is a possibility my internships will be cancelled this summer therefore I have to strengthen my CV as much as I can from home. This means a lot of online classes, MOOCs and anything I can do.
If you guys are in the same situation or just bored or anxious just let me know. We gan get through this horrible times together.
And remember stay at home, stay healthy and try not to let negative thoughts and anxiety win!

The Brave New World by Aldous Huxley and Aphorisms by Oscar Wilde.
The list of our class’ was published yesterday. And I am on the 3rd place, while I as thinking I was 6th or 7th. Learning that I am at TOP 3 gave me such a motivation boost. Because this year I was not really productive. I definetely could study harder and do better. There are 3 more years before I graduate and I hope I will be able to gradute as the 1st.

Germany, Croatia and Czechia. It's not politically Europe but you can visit İstanbul,Turkey too. Most of the Byzantin and Ottoman history which had a big effect on European history happened there!
I’d love to go to Istanbul because I am fascinated by the Ottoman Empire’s relationship with Elizabethan England and it’d be a dream to visit but I think I’d need a visa to visit! Then again, I might need a visa to visit Europe soon thanks to Brexit :( The Czech Republic is very high on my list but I’ve never thought about Croatia before so I’ll look into there too. Thanks so much for the suggestions!
