Introduction

Hello! I'm Iris 💙 I've been here in studyblr since 2023, but since it is now a new chapter of my life, I thought, new intro time!

I just finished my undergrad degree in Computer Applications. The 3 years have been really difficult because of balancing both education and my disability, so I decided to take an academic break for a few months before enrolling for a masters. So here I am, in a new chapter of my life where I gain back my hobbies, my strength and my spark ✨

Hello, my loves! I'm Beth, I've been on studyblr since the dawn of time (2016) and for the last few years I have been working in education rather than actually studying myself. But then a few months ago, after an incident at work, I decided that I needed to do things that made me happy and I decided to apply for my Masters Degree. And I got in! So I thought I would do a re-introduction!

Age: 25 (I'm a sagittarius and a december baby)

Course: Masters Degree in Creative Writing (With Publishing).

Interests: Writing, Reading (I have a booktok), crocheting, reading my oracle cards and doing readings for others. I also have an Etsy where I make writing and study resources.

Favourite music: Fleetwood Mac, Noah Kahan, Taylor Swift, as well as many others. I mostly love music from the 70s and 80s and musicals.

Favourite TV shows: The X Files, Bones, Ashes to Ashes, Merlin, Miranda, All Creatures Great and Small (2020). I don't actually watch much tv shows, usually just rewatch the same ones over and over. I do however love Only Connect because I am a nerd.

Favourite Books: I am a huge cozy fantasy fan, I also love asian translated fiction and literary fiction. Some of my favourite reads of the year so far have been: The Satsuma Complex, Water Moon, The Teller of Small Fortunes, Rewitched, The Lighthouse at the Edge of the World, The Tarot Reader of Versailles and The Warm Hands of Ghosts.

I am quite shy and suffer with anxiety and depression but I am on a healing journey. 2025 has been a lot, so many things have happened but I think this year so far has also taught me that I need to do what is right for me and put me first which is why I am doing my masters degree.

I will be doing my degree part time over two years and working a few days a week (hopefully). If there are any 18+ studyblrs who want to be mutuals, it would be great to have active studyblrs to help me through! I won't interact with anyone under 18, I work in education and if you're young enough to be attending the school i work in, then I just can't do that.

current goals/tasks: survived the rest of third year without totally losing it! study for my exams (5/5 done!), prepare for summer research project (linear algebra & mathematica practice), do summer placement (& have fun?!), read that long review paper for my final year project next year (!!!), start thinking seriously about phd plans?!!
