Texting is something that is supposed to make our lives easier – so why is it that it so often ends up making our lives even more confusing?! This most often applies to those moments when you’re texting your crush and you have no idea what to say. Or you know exactly what you want to say, you’re just too scared to send it. Hey, it happens to the best of us! The guy you like sees the three dots appear on his phone, then disappear…appear, then disappear. You’re being totally indecisive about your text - you want to send him something but you’re not sure if you should! Ugh.

There are a lot of great things about text messages: they’re convenient, they can be less awkward than phone conversations, and they’re fast. But even though we wouldn’t trade texting for anything, it can be so annoying sometimes. When the person you’re texting can’t hear your voice or see your face, it’s easy to get confused about what a text message really means and how to answer. Just like we get texts from guys that leave us clueless on what to text back, guys get text messages from us that they have no idea how to respond to. Except, instead of saying that, they’ll either say something lame back, not respond at all, or just act like everything’s normal. And if that’s the case, how are we supposed to know we’re sending something wrong?!

Here’s a question I have heard so many times throughout my life that it is impossible to count: “What does it mean if he doesn’t answer my texts?” You’ve asked it, your best friend has asked it, I’ve asked it myself. We’ve all been there. You’re talking to a dude, things are going pretty well, and you text a lot. Suddenly, he doesn’t answer you. You wait a few hours without feeling too anxious, but nothing comes. You restart your phone to make sure it’s not broken. Still no text. A day goes by and you panic. Should you -gasp- double text? Did you do something wrong? Is he with another girl? Are you guys over before you even started?!
