Fire Carrier arc of Dark Times was truly something (/pos). Like, why is it making me tear up in the worst then the best way possible
The fricking mass murder by dropping a shipful of civilians in the air. Horrendous. But the most brutal thing is that the younglings had to witness that. The contrast between their innocence and the extreme darkness of mass murder… ugh why batter my heart like this
Sidirri…yk I was having so many emotions when Master Zao was trying to comfort her—but her ending is just… ughhh reminding me so much of Depa Billaba…
OH YES MASTER ZAO. HE’S SO BACK AND ENLIGHTENING US AGAIN ON WHY HE IS THE BEST. AND SUCH A FITTING ENDING FOR HIM. I LOVE HIM YOUR HONOR
Speaking of which… Commander Teron. Straight up melting (/pos) when he mentioned hope, when he was offering K’Kruhk shelter and supplies, because he still remembered, because he still cared. This part legit made me tear up cuz of the hopefulness in that scene. Argh I love this arc. And yeah Teron’s absolutely goated
(His disappearance… I don’t know if he would eventually join the Rebellion… thought even if he didn’t, the glimpse of hope would’ve been enough for all the Jedi there, and for us readers, and I am so here for that message)
And yeah…the theme of hope. I. am. so. not. okay. The way both Teron’s aid and the wild men’s help (and worship. They’re worshiping those who were one of the most hated out there in the galaxy and it’s all because of the good tales of the ancient Jedi who were living outpost there) contributed so much to this theme, plus the end scene on Arkinnea ahhh. Absolutely love the ending.
