THERE ARE SO  MANY QUESTIONS like.  he has a fucking elevator into space?  he has a space elevator on his island tower (WHICH, EXCUSE ME, HE BLEW UP DURING BATTLE CITY) connecting his space station to earth so like are we Just To Assume that earth is just spinning around with a fucking space station literally attached to it? is kaibacorp literally a sovereign nation???? how did this happen??????????

how did he summon god of the obelisk in his duel with diva, literally what the fuck.  i dont care how extremely bullshit dimension dueling is, that was absurd.  even if they were in the tomb of the nameless pharaoh and the god cards were theoretically buried beneath them, you have to? draw a card? you cant just slam your hand into the ground and suddenly have a mosnter what the fuck!!!!! (though i will say that “he’s not a monster, he’s a god” is one of the greatest lines in cinematic history, full stop, kaiba had so many gems in this film).

why the fake plane crash?  was it really necessary to make an entire city of people think you killed them to prove that your technology was good.  was it kaiba.  was it.

also like, just a reminder: kaiba is still only 17.  hes not a fucking legal adult even!  this is a nuts amount of power and resources for a teenager who, until very recently, didnt believe in magic to spend on attempting necromancy

and like.  just the ending.  WHO DOES THAT.  i honestly love how takahashi had yuugi give kaiba like, an important lesson about grieving and moving on and encouraged him to get on with his life and instead of doing that kaiba turns around and is like “cool but also fuck you” and figures out a way to travel to the land of the dead so he can play card games against his rival, the god-king, for all eternity if he wants.  of all the ridiculous ways to end this movie, i couldnt even comprehend this being one of them
