swingin' down 6th - my apartment in my spiderman dr

It felt almost blasphemous when i signed my lease for my rent-controlled apartment on the lower east side after growing up on the upper west. My walk up to the fourth floor is my own personal daily StairMaster workout, but the golden hour light is worth it. It's like my own sanctuary to focus on my Daily Bugle deadlines...plus a great alley to get in and out of my spidersuit undetected.

My night is always finished with a book and bev on my fire escape, which also seems to be the favorite mode of entry for a certain fellow webswinger.

𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐰 burst onto the scene two years ago seemingly out of nowhere, much like the infamous spider-man two years before that. quick-witted, and even quicker acting, the widow possess the same abilities showcased by new york's other vigilante: wall-crawling. super strength, enhanced speed, agility, & reflexes. interestingly, they seem to also have skills unique to them: night vision, breathing underwater, & harnessing kinetic energy.

while our web-swingers are clearly allies, it is unknown if their powers originate from the same source or, as our editor-in-chief has eloquently theorized many times in the bugle's opinion section, the same arachnid cult. what we do know is that they help keep our city safe, from something as seemingly simple as stopping a mugging to thwarting larger affairs.
