I am now nearing the end of the penultimate week before my submission of my third module of my first year studying VISCOM. This week has been another productive one with the completion of my site map in the style of my festival hence the illustrative approach I have chosen to use as well as completing most of my collateral outcome production.
This week I produced my 10 second tear promotional video. I have since shown this to my tutor who liked the approach I took and after explaining to her how I wanted to use film rather than a GIF to add a sense of realism to my event she agreed. My tutor also noticed how the promotional video is dynamic in the sense that it could become part of a series that tells the story of a young individual preparing to experience the festival - encouraging others to come an join in on the journey.
My map has also been a big thing for me to undertake this week, having never produced a map before or any form of way finding I had a big task ahead of me - especially having a way finding expert as a tutor I needed to ensure I got it right. After spending two days planning, researching, sketching and finally producing my map, I showed my tutor was was pleased with the outcome and gave me advice to push it further.
My aims for the last week //
Make final edit to the map, be creative with the stage area, design a stage?
Social Media, suing the 10 images create a social media presence to promote my festival.
Next thursday I have my first assessment for the module where I will be give a rough guide as to what grade I am currently at and how I can improve or secure it. I hope to have most of the project learning outcomes completed by then so that I can spend the week leading up to my submission making improvements to my work.
