FRIDAY PROTOTYPING - WEEK 7 IMAGES
These are Kara’s notes from the prototyping session that went down on Friday in week 7.
Wanted to test how people followed instructions for cooking/preparing food. Tested each participant twice, asking them first to follow a “recipie” that was written, and then follow a recipe given to them via audio (me reading outloud).
3 out of 4 participants felt that the audio instructions were effective to follow as they felt more relaxed and weren’t trying to do two things at once - they expressed it was easier to do the ‘mindful’ parts of the instructions (breathing etc) with the audio over the written.
1 user did express preferring the written instructions as found these easier. Could provide both options so users have a choice?
A few participants noted that the audio may be an issue in terms of feeling pressure to keep at the same pace. But felt that there could be a simple fix to this if the user was able to easily pause/play, perhaps skip to the next step. Voice activated could be a good idea as users will likely be busy with their hands cooking.
