Lance is much too underrated for his own good and I really wanted to draw him but I HATE how the tangled artists drew him. Like why is his head an egg. Why did they do that. So I kind of did my own take on him (more doodles below! Sorry theyāre boring I was practicing front facing profiles)
I love him a lot and Iām sad that the tangled writers didnāt really explore his character : ( love this guy im his #1 defender

What your favorite tangled character says about you (in my expert opinion):
Rapunzel: you are either Rapunzel irl or just some person who thinks theyāre Rapunzel but you are nothing like her LOL. Iāve mostly seen creative theatre kid types or lululemon mean girls (idk why). You either relate to her trauma or not at all and just relate to her personality. Youāve had people betray you and walk over your kindness but youāve grown and actually put your foot down now. If youāre not wearing pastel 24/7 you feel absolutely icky.
Eugene: youāre either a simp, the funniest person in the room, or both. Probably have had an identity crisis or two but I wouldnāt change you for the world.
Gothel: you support womenās wrongs and have a boss ass fashion sense. I would also seek help if you do support herā
Cassandra: you have probably felt second best your entire life and waiting in the wings makes you sob violentlyā but you would never admit that because admitting things is too hard. You have to be strong all the time except you donāt.
Varian: you probably were 15 when you fell in love with his character and related to him because all 14-15 year olds are terrorists for some reason. You often feel undervalued by your peers or family. You love to show people things and rave for hours only to find them disinterested. You face disappointment everyday because you expect so highly of yourself and sometimes others. You quirky theatre kid you.
Lance: when I tell you this is probably the most sane choice on the list Iām not joking. Probably the mom friend. You are also the funniest person (with Eugene) and always have advice for those around you. You are either the calmest one when faced with crisis or the one who is being bridal carried away because you saw a spider. We love you either way.

I was thinking about how multiple characters in Hazbin give major Tangled: The Series characters vibes.
Lucifer and Varian share the same VA, are dorky, desperate to prove themselves to a family member, and have a close bond with the main character.
Charlie and Rapunzel with the hair, bubbliness, naivety, and optimism (and how it frustrates those who don't share it).
Lute and Cassandra used to be on the same side as a main character, have a similar look, are stern, had a breakdown and started LISTENING TO A HALLUCINATION/GHOST, and had a MAJOR ARM INJURY.
Cassandra and Vaggie are also similar in regard to to their dynamic with Rapunzel/Charlie.
And evidently I'm not the only one seeing this. There are a bunch of videos swapping their songs. Love that Hazbin s2 is drawing the Tangled fans back out in 2026. š
Zestial and Lance also share a VA, though they don't really sound or act alike. Lance sounds a bit more like Asmodeus or Vortex (who also share the VA with him).
