Sometimes It Is Better To Let Go
Not every ṭalāq (ie: divorce) is a curse; فليس كل طلاق نقمة، rather, it is part of perfection of Allah's niʿmah (ie: favour) upon His ʿibād (ie: servants) that He has granted them the ability to separate through al-ṭalāq if one of them desires to replace a spouse with another and free themselves from someone they neither love nor suit. بل من تمام نعمة الله على عباده أن مكنهم من المفارقة بالطلاق إذا أراد أحدهم استبدال زوج مكان زوج، والتخلص ممن لا يحبها ولا يلائمها، For lovers, there is nothing like al-nikāḥ (ie: marriage), فلم ير للمتاحبين مثل النكاح، and for those who harbour resentment, there is nothing like al-ṭalāq. ولا للمتباغضين مثل الطلاق Muḥammad b.
