The Ramshackle League Prologue
I finally did it, I got of writer's block and made a freaking prologue for one of my fanfics/AU's! Remember The Ramshackle League? That AU I made where the League of Villains and Tenya Iida get transported to world of Twisted Wonderland? Well- I finally finished the prologue for that.
The reason this took so long is not just because of writer's block but because Crowley. I really don't Crowley, I like him even less now that he gave me so much trouble. I hated writing this man.
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
I hope you enjoy what I have made! It isn't perfect, but I am so freaking proud of this.

i hate the way morality is discussed in literature now (a rant)
I have many issues with the idea of being āvirtuousā and good because morality is subjective, and thatās a fucking fact. Most of what people claim as āmoralā are western christian ideals that have been spread globally through colonialism and NO ONE WILL TALK ABOUT IT. As someone who did not grow up religious (but would be considered ethnically c of e i think š¤·āāļø) and grew up in primary school celebrating Eid, Diwali, Hanukkah a similar way as Easter and Christmas was celebrated I have some grounds to discuss this (i also love philosophy). literature (fictional) is the best place to discuss our own interpretations of morality since itās not as mainstream as digital media and therefore cannot be as misinterpreted by the masses, is not fucking real and lets us understand how language affects our own versions, but with the new standard of ābooktokā and bookstagramā morals weāre losing that healthy discussion. People are too quick to judge already oppressed characters, thereās too much of a fandom attitude, and they excuse characters because theyāre hot and male and white (or badly written poc). YOU ARE ALLOWED AND SHOULD BE TO DISCUSS THE IDEA OF WHAT HUMANITY MEANS TO YOU AND FIGURE OUT WHAT YOUR VALUES ARE ESPECIALLY IN YA SPACES. YA spaces are important to have these discussions in because young people ultimately will set the social norms and yes you do have the power to do that, do not let them take that away from you. But please please please always always remember that YOU ONLY HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO HOLD MORALITY BECAUSE YOUāVE NEVER HAD LIMITED OPTIONS. i recognise that i am a white middle class (and yes I fucking know ātHe MidDlE cLaSs dOeSnāT eXiStā cos the class divide is so big now) girl with extreme geographical privilege who has had the opportunity to learn and grow and pick moral options that benefits a greater good but not everyone has and thatās why we read, to gain empathy and understand current issues reframed in a way that we can digest. But now with social media watching our every move as well we all hold ourselves to such high standards when itās ok to make mistakes, itās ok to have a bad take, itās ok to defend the WELL WRITTEN morally grey character, itās ok to explore your ideals when your still young. HOLD PEOPLE ACCOUNTABLE HOLD CHARACTERS ACCOUNTABLE THATS HOW WE LEARN AND GROW but actually do it and know not everyone will agree with you but thatās fine. People wonāt have these tricky conversations anymore and accept that sometimes you will just have two bad options, we all want a way out, a better life, well fucking tough luck cos we live in a capitalist society that doesnāt benefit most of us, BUT WE CAN CHHAAAANNGGEEE THAAATTTT. question how far you will go and how deep a statement cuts etc etc and find your OWN version of morality, even if it takes you 80 years. I have a big issue with the idea of a āgoodā (meaning virtuous) character because weāre all born goodā¦no one asked to be born and no one asked for any of their problems but they happen and how we deal with them defines us, not a standard set by anyone. idek what this is but Iāve just been getting annoyed at the glaze of āmoralā characters when itās truly a subjective concept and please take the chance of it being fiction to discuss properly what that means to you, it literally saves you making a million mistakes irl.
