Significance
Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME) is a serious disabling chronic illness that lacks FDA-approved therapies. Comprehensive transcriptomic, epigenomic, and flow cytometric profiles of primary CD8+ T cell subsets implicate T cell exhaustion in pathophysiology. We show that T cells in ME cases are epigenetically predisposed toward terminal exhaustion and that exhaustion markers are upregulated following exercise challenge. Using single-cell genomics, we provide important information about the role of CD8+ T cell exhaustion development and progression. Our findings are consistent with the hypothesis that chronic viral infection is a factor in ME; by dissecting the molecular basis of T cell dysfunction in ME, we offer potential avenues for treatment.

Killer T cell would definitely be..overprotective.
He would make it known to everyone to not mess with you. Not even to talk or look at you for to long. The other T cells would just laugh it off Thinking he was just being overprotective, but it was MUCH more then that.
When you talked to anyone else he would have thoughts of killing the other person you were talking to. But for now, initiating a murder would be much to risky. Especially with white blood cells circling around the area back and forth.
Killer T cell wouldn’t hurt you. Well..on purpose that is. Sometimes when he’s really mad he might not even know your there and accidentally push you out of the way or something along those lines. Once he realized he hurt you though he will apologize profusely. He would 100% make it up to you somehow.
Killer T cell Isnt the most strategic person. He’s strong but not the smartest. So when he does finally decide to kill someone there is a high change of him getting caught.
And trust me. He will make there death brutal. I mean what nerve do they have even looking at you?? They deserve a painful death.
Say he didn’t get caught though by some miracle he would be shocked by his actions. But soon he would get addicted to killing. Anyone that slightly looks at you? Dead. Anyone that talks to you? Definitely dead.
But this killing spree would have to end eventually. He would get caught some time.
When he’s caught he’d look at you with sad eyes awaiting his demise. You would be shocked by his actions. It would be hard to process this was happening.
But just know..all the cells he killed was for “love” right?
