hii this might not be phrased well, hope i dont come across as accusatory or anything i dont understand paras very well and i have a question that might be a tad silly but just curious, ofc throw the ask away if it’s offensive or insensitive
with you being pro-recovery in terms of “safe and healthy outlets”, would you include pornography under that? and by pornography i mean specifically with real beings, not drawn or written fiction
i feel like a common argument against the whole “recovery via healthy outlets” is that some people assume that consuming media means people will mimic it, which i know isn’t inherently true of course
and another is that it encourages people to consume, reproduce and even make exploitation material of those who can’t consent, which i mean i’m not sure of stats on that so i wouldnt know the truth or lackthereof behind it
That depends on the porn in question.
Roleplay porn, I support.
Porn that involves actual non-consenting individuals (ie; children, animals, corpses, etc), I do not support, obviously.
I think instead of banning porn that has dark roleplays, there should instead be:
1- Better legal and social protections in place for sex workers.
2- Clips at the end of the porn video showing a pre-porn clip of all actors involved verbally consenting/discussing the scene idea, and a clip of aftercare.
