The Lynels are commonly recurring centaur-like enemies throughout the entire Legend of Zelda franchise, but we're focusing on their specific Breath of the Wild incarnation! These lion-headed, bull-horned centaurs are large and fearsome, and highly intelligent, strong, and resilient. They wield weapons such as the bow and arrow, swords, and even spears. They can also shoot fireballs or simply body slam and trample their targets.

Aggressive as they are, the Lynels don't attack immediately, instead staring down those who approach them and giving them a chance to leave. If they don't... the fight is on.

Day 23 - Echo

(Ganon x gender neutral reader)

Ganon keeps lynels around like oversized house cats.

They love you and they love letting you pet/scratch them. They will nudge you with their giant heads begging to be pet. Defietly big boy cat energy. Theyre obsessed with your attention.

They are fiercely protective over you. They know Ganon can handle himself for the most part so during any type of confrontation or perceived threat they have been directly ordered to focus all of their energy on keeping you safe.

Ganon gifts you a baby lynel as an early wedding gift after seeing how much you like them. Its just a baby. Still the size of like a small horse though. It grows quickly into a full size lynel that would protect you with its life. You use him instead of a horse when you travel or just need to get out of the palace for a minute. Its just another level of protection for you that puts Ganons mind at ease when he worries about your safety. (Which is often)
