The defect broods at home
The doctor looks at files
The stow away walks the halls
The theoretician scratches his head
And the swordsman holds the fort.
The ruler of the world is crying
The ghost is by his side
The scientist works in his lab
The other scientist is gone
The city speaker speaks her truth
She walks home alone
The bartender at the other bar
Is fine, and not asleep
But the officer is drinking a lot
Probably more than he should be
The bartender has been sleeping
The idiot didn’t notice
There’s a world following the ship
There’s a world they left behind.
