Maya: *looking at Damian and mara*what’s the straightest thing you’ve ever done

Mara: *Hums* let me think about it

Damian: I killed a guy

Collin: *regretting every decision that led him to this* oh my god

Jon: *wheezes*

Surren: *snorts*

Maya:*cackling* that’s very straight 

Damian: * nods* that’s very straight

Why does everything have to be dramatic? Honestly Damian going on a journey with Colin, Maya, Mara, Maps, Surren and Jon where they all become closer while they go on fun adventures would be so much entertaining.

“I brought blood.”

 Amren looks up, her lips already sliding up at the sound of this voice. “Hello, Suri.”

 The Suriel grins back and perches on the edge of Amren’s bed, flipping its cloaks off to the side so they don’t wrinkle. “How are things, little dragon girl?”

 Amren bares her canines and the Suriel laughs, handing over the crystal glass of blood. “Keep that. I stole it off a witch in the woods.”

 “She didn’t catch you, I assume.”

 “I’m only caught when I want to be.”

 Amren takes the goblet of blood and drains half of it. “Excellent.”

 “Things, fire drake. How are things?”

 “Things are fine, you insatiable gossip. Feyre’s staying with Rhys permanently, now.”

 The Suriel gasps, flattening its hands on the bed. “And you didn’t open with that?”

 “I like to take my time.”

 “Well, don’t. I need details.”

 Amren sits on an antique (very antique) velvet armchair across from it. “Alright. You’d better be eternally grateful for this. I’m talking blood for centuries.”

 The Suriel gestures to the glass resting between Amren’s sharp-filed nails.

 “They’re mates. Feyre doesn’t know.”

 The Suriel lets out a shriek that could probably be heard all the way up at the cabin.

 “Oh Gods,” Amren says.

 “Mates? Mates? Do you know what this means?”

 “It means Rhys is too damn nice for his own good, because he won’t tell her.”

 The corners of the Suriel’s lips poke up. “She’ll figure it out.”

 “She will not.”

 “I’ll make sure of it.”

 “Suri. No.”

Although, I mostly did this for myself haha. Its truly heartbreaking to see everything Damian has had to go through since rebirth, and I can't deal with this on my own (hence the post lol). I'm an emotionally sensitive individual who gets VERY attached to characters I adore and seeing my little gremlin go through all of this again is heartbreaking.

And yes, the prison thing was dumb. The only circumstance I would even consider it not out-of-character to do it is if it was connected to Dick being shot by KGBeast since Damian adores Dick. But the reasoning Glass and DC gives for this is because Damian saw a planet die in No Justice and he finally "snapped" when he saw Black Mask was out of jail and got angry at his father's way of handling things.

Which I don't see as getting mad at his father's way of handling things out of character, but creating this whole prison because he saw a planet dying? In all honestly, I don't think Damian would even care (because the league tried their best and sacrifices had to be made).

If Glass needed Damian to do something "extreme" for Bruce come knocking at the door of Mercy Hall, he could've done it without the prison and without destroying Damian's development. And honestly, is it even necessary to have something "extreme and dramatic"? Damian going off-grid in Brookyln should've been enough.

And yes, I'm also mad that Damian is blamed for Alfred's death especially since he was given orders by his father to enter the city.

That and also that nobody (especially Bruce) didn't make the effort to chase after Damian to comfort Damian. The only one who was concerned about Damian was Barbara, but even she didn't go out and comfort Damian after her speech. Could've been great if DC took it as an opportunity for Barbara and Damian to get close especially since they both have to deal with the existence of Ric.

I've said this in past posts but DC is missing out on some quality content they can make with Damian.

-> Tim and Damian reconciliation and comic of them fighting crime together?

-> They could've brought Damian back into Gotham Academy after Jon aged up and expanded on his friendship with Maps (if they had no choice to age up Jon).

-> Literally just content of Damian going to school and learning how to interact with other people it doesn't even have to include Maps.

-> Another adventure with Maya and Goliath (possibly with Colin, Maps, not-aged-up-jon, and Surren).

->Nightwing/Robin comic?

->Spoiler/Robin comic?

->Batfamily comic?

DC is just missing perfect opportunities to great content with characters they already have and likes to make everything dramatic to generate revenue but they forget that sometimes we just want some action and heartwarming content.

Why do they think interest in webcomics are rising?

But I do think we might be seeing improvement Teen Titans with Robbie on board. His addition to the Robin 80th anniversary (Bat and Mouse?) Was one my favorites along with the super sons. I'm hopeful to see what how he will be trying to fix what Glass did. But again, we shouldn't keep our hope's high knowing DC 🙄

Although I am frustrated characters like Maya, Jon, Surren, Colin or Mara weren't used this group, the current team isnt soo bad...its the writing.

Like the only team member I dislike is Djinn because it seems like she was literally created for Damian and to imitate the Damian x Raven ship.

Everyone else, I don't have issues with. Crush, AKA Xiomara Rojas, is actually is one of my favorites besides the core 3.

This team and each of these members have soo much potential to be great but again, they are not being written that way.

Because...

-> A) They are written out of character and their development just gets destroyed in the process (Damian, Emiko).

->B) They are under-ultlitized even though they are supposed to be the moral compass of the group (Wallace).

->C) Minor characters aren't being used to their full potential and/or growing their bond with the group even though it's been 20 issues (Crush, Roundhouse and Djinn).

->D) The last writer focused so much on creating dramatic storytelling that they lost focus on developing the team's relationships. Glass basically is ripping apart a group that essentially has no relationship to begin with.

And yup, I agree. The current Teen Titans series is overall depressing. There doesn't really seem to be anything meddling them together which is obivious, because unlike traditional Teen Titan groups where the Robin picks their friends to be apart of the group, Damian was literally written to handpick each member that he had no previous connection to (besides Emiko and Wallace). So it just feels like this group is simply working together because they have nothing else to do in their spare time.

And its sad, because the Teen Titan's is supposed to be a sort of haven for teen superheroes to escape their sometimes overbearing mentors and leagacies and have fun fighting crime with superheroes their age. It's supposed to be a place where teen heroes learn how to better work with other people and create relationships with other superheroes besides their mentor and superhero families. A place where they can essentially be teens with other teens that understand their non-average life.

And again this team has so much potential...its frustrating. You can do so much more with this group in terms of bonding.

-> Comic book geek Wallace and Anime/manga geek Roundhouse introducing Damian to comics, manga and anime. Them bonding while playing games and trying to beat each others top scores.

-> WHERE THE HECK IS GOLIATH??? Right there, you already have an additional member to the team. Imagine them all ridding Goliath into battle; Justice league, Titans and Young Justice like 😶. Plus I need an issue where we get their reactions to Batcow.

-> By this time, Wallace should be Damian's closest friend. They have been working with each other the longest. Wallace literally got fired from the previous team and agreed to being recruited again by Damian. Please explore that friendship.

-> Give me Wallace, Damian and Roundhouse bonding over fixing a car and upgrading security.

-> Crush, Djinn and Emiko secretly watching the Kardashians together when the guys are out.

-> Roundhouse being mind-blowned by Damian's art skills and begging for fanart of his favorite anime characters.

-> Damian, Emiko and Crush bonding over their truamas.

Let's hope Robbie Thompson focuses on bringing this team closer and adding additional members. Or at the very least writing the core 3 in character and using their abilities to their full potential.
