I can’t stop sending you Saurondriel tropes. Sorry! I have another one: Armageddon after the fourth era. The first dark lord Morgoth returns just like prophecy foretold. But Morgoth drags his wayward servant back with him to middle earth. What better way to punish and keep Sauron under his thumb than to bind him in his mortal form and tempt him with the Lady of Light? Good sweet seductions of of lips and hands and light and terrible dark things with blood and terror where death is a mercy that dangles just beyond their reach. They are both prisoners.

This sounds like a really twisted dub-con fic where Morgoth wants to make them do it again and again and watch. Which is, unfortunately, TOLKIEN CANON FOR FREAKY DEAKY MORGOTH. HE DID THAT WITH HIS PRISONERS A LOT. Plot twist! They both secretly enjoy it but have to pretend it's such torture.
