I love how Louis was so open about hating love island and disliking influencers and this is who they try to pair him with. My favorite part was the daily mail saying she met him because his sisters want to be the Kardashians of England. We all know he loves all of that and how he would like to be known from.
first off, darling, i'm sorry for taking almost a month to reply to this 💀
lovely anon 💖 I want you to know that you spoke from my soul back in March 2025, so I wanted to publish this ask so I can add a few general thoughts about them stunting and then put it into my tag for future reference.
We all know he loves all of that and how he would like to be known from. - the sarcasm YES 😩💅🏼
but yeah, so, in all seriousness, -- and i'm not talking to you directly, sweet anon, i'm just piggyback-ing on your ask now 💕 -- yet again for another H/L stunt number 15 or so, it's all so non-sensical and predictable - as always always always.
i do have strong opinions on Lou's recent chosen stunt partner, but as I said before -- in a year, in five years, in ten or twenty years, this will be a blip; one point in a timeline that one will read over and move on to the truly impactful points. in the grand scheme of H&L's relationship of 15 years and counting; within the strong foundation of their love and commitment, as well as in their day-to-day lives with each other, this stunt doesn't matter. and the next one won't matter. and the next. it's purely a part of work. they don't become friends with the women they stunt with and they only superficially knew/know them like you'd know a co-worker or a fellow actor in a project.
the reason why stunts are a thing sucks massively, yes; it always did and until this world systematically changes, it always will -- but this is just how things currently are.
all a stunt aims for is attention, press, clicks, impressions, views, engagement, etc. - a stunt purely thrives off of that. bits and pieces get fed to the public, but essentially a stunt is only what gets made of it by the people who choose to actively engage with it. if nobody would pay attention to it, it wouldn't work.
so the best we can do is just that: pay as little attention to it as possible, archive and track what needs to be archived and tracked regarding Lou and H, and let the rest be beige noise that will fizzle out eventually.

on this note, let me link to a great and ever-relevant post by dear Daisie @daisiesonafield-blog: How To Make A Stunt More Believable
and these two replies by lovely Gina @twopoppies and this one by sweet Sab @fookinhellcurlyyy basically sum up my feelings about this recent stunt
OH, and a big shoutout for this great archiving work by wonderful @delicateperspective here 🗂
